Imtiyaz reshi said India is trying to muzzle our freedom struggle of Kashmir by force and state barbarisms in Kashmir Reshi flays police ‘threat’ to dislodge Sopori peoples league


Srinagar, June 2 5: Senior  -freedom leader and  spokesman peoples league Imtiyaz Reshi  on Monday voiced concern over the reported police action asking Peoples League leader GM Sopori to vacate from his Srinagar residence, describing it as a “step fraught with dangerous consequences.”
 In a statement here,  Imtiyaz Reshi warned Government of India that “this move will have serious repercussions and would be resisted tooth and nail.”
 “Sopori has been told by Police to leave his residence which is his legal property. This is a shameful incident, reminiscent of Israeli history. Now Government of India has also adopted the same policy so that Kashmiris are left alone without any leader. Dislodging Sopori is a first step in that direction,”  Reshi  alleged.
 Reshi assured Sopori that he “should not feel alone but the entire pro-freedom leadership and people are with him.”

 Reshi said India is  trying to muzzle our  freedom struggle of Kashmir by force and state barbarisms in Kashmir
 “Pro-freedom leadership is facing every sort of oppression at the hands of India and its local collaborators for more than six decades. But by the cooperation of common people on ground, the leadership has always proved itself firm on its political stand,” Reshi said.
 

 He said that the Indian armed forces  on the shades of this black laws are continuously committing
human rights violations in Kashmir from last  64 years.
“Killing common Kashmiri has became a habit of Indian forces and on
daily routine people are being killed in fake encounters,
interrogation centers, road accidents etc.” adding that forces also
involved in rape, molestalations and other criminal cases in Kashmir
that have not been probed by any agency till  time.
 He said that the Kashmir has became an exhibition of human rights
violations, done by the Indian army were one can see every kind
brutalities faced by the Innocent Kashmiri  people.
 He appealed international community including human rights watch to
take a serious notice of the situation prevailing in Kashmir and of
the violations took place from last 64 years.
 He maintained that the Kashmir issue is the main issue of South Asia
and its resolution of the issue is need of the hour and peace in south.
