Jammu Kashmir peoples league conveys daylong meeting, discussed party
affairs, political scenario.
Three activists suspended for anti-party activities


Srinagar, Jammu and Kashmir people leaugue today conveyed its daylong
meeting here in party head office at Srinagar Wazir Bagh that chaired
by its chairman Mukhtar Ahmad Waza.
Besides party general setrey Mohd Ashraf Sofi, Political sectrey Gulam
Qadir Rah, Chief Organizer Farooq Ahmad Dar, Spokesman Imtiyaz Ahmad
Reshi, Provincials president Sahkeel-ul-Rehman, Chief coordinator
Jaffar Kashmiri, Publicity sectrey Aijaz Ahmad Wani, Assistant sectary
Gulam Ahmad Mir, Distrcit president Bashir Ahmad Kana, shabir ahmad,
Gazi Ab Rashid, Manzoor Ahmad Najjar, Mohd Ramzan Wandroo Zulfikar and
others.
In an important decision, three activists, Mohd Maqbool Sofi, Gulam
Nabi Darzi and Gulam Nabi waseem were suspended for their anti-party
activities
While addressing the meeting party chairman, Mukhtar Ahmad Waza
brified party leaders about the present political scenario of Jammu
and Kashmir viz-a-viz south Asian countries like India, Pakistan and
china. He expressed concern over the deliberate attempts of India
aimed to throw the issue in ice box besides having acknowledged the
importance of Kashmir issue. He said that people league as a party has
right from 1974 raised and demanded the resolution of Kashmir issue as
per the aspiration of Kashmir people and during which the party’s
activists were imprisoned even martyred among them the top most
include S Hameed Wani and Sheikh Abdul Aziz. Praying glowing tributes
to martyrs especially of party’s he said that martyrs have
internationalized the Kashmir issue and hence the role played by the
martyrs cannot be under estimated nethire party will allow any such
body to do so. He also paid glowing tributes to Shaheed Molana Mohd
Farooq and Kowaja Abdul Gani
He said that the peaceful resolution of Kashmir issue grantees peace,
political and economic stability of south Asia hence the both
countries should restart the dialogue process for the resolution of
Kashmir issue. Expressing satisfaction over the Pakistan elections
and emergence of PML (N) as the expected ruling party in the country,
waza hoped the Mai Nawaz Sharief will restart the process for
resolving Kashmir dispute accordingly.
He directed party leaders and activists to strength the party as gross
root levels and to intensify the ‘door to door movement’.
Party patron, Mohd Yaqoob Sheikh also addressed the meeting
telephonically and paid glowing tributes to martyrs’ of Kashmir.
Party General Sectary, Mohd Ashraf Sofi, also briefed meeting about
the party affairs while appealing them to work and reach out to people
with political agenda regarding resolution of Kashmir issue.
