waza appealed to world to
break silence and show positive approach in view to provide justice to the
families of disappeared persons
Jammu
and Kashmir peoples league chairman Mukhtar Ahmad waza has show sympathy with
the families of disappeared persons, waza appealed to world to break silence
and show positive approach in view to provide justice to the families of
disappeared persons,
Kashmir
observes International Day Of Disappeared Persons, on 30th August it demands only to prevail justice to these
families but world has not show seriousness towards these victimized families
Waza has strongly criticized the role of world towards human right violations
done by Indian forces in Kashmir.
In Kashmir, 8000 to 10000 cases of politically motivated disappearances, families of Disappeared Persons continue to be victimized and traumatized by years of chronic conflict. And conditions have reached a stage where loss would be measured in terms of generations rather than years.
Enforced Disappearance has been described as one of the most heinous crimes that humanity has experienced. Amnesty international describes it as a cruel Human Rights violation, as it violates the rights of person who has disappeared, and of those who loved them. In majority of the cases enforced disappearance starts with the illegal detention, arrest, or abduction by army, police and informal-militia, and then the state denial and concealment of same. Such a situation often denies victims the access to justice and places them outside the protection of laws.
While Government pays lip service to their commitment to Human Rights, they continue to use national security to justify violating the rights of Kashmiris.
