APHC
leader and Jammu Kashmir people’s league chairman, Mukhtar Ahmad Waza today
hailed the efforts of Kashmiri youth who put their lives in risk and rescued
floods victims.
During
its visit to flood affected areas of Islamabad district including Dehruna watpora,
Waza met flood victims residing in temporary relief camps and expressed
sympathy and solidarity with them. We thanked all those social and religious
organizations who are providing relief to the flood victims in affected areas
of Kashmir and appealed general public to remain committed for rehabilitating
the victims before onset of winter.
Mukhtar
Ahmad Waza stated that all government machinery failed and it was youth of
Kashmir who provided succor to the flood victims and proved that they have
enough guts to take care of the fellow Kashmiris during testing times.
He
said that neither New Delhi nor the state puppet government provided any kind
of relief to the affected families. He said that instead of helping to the
flood victims of Kashmir, New Delhi government is trying to block the aid
coming from OIC and international community. Waza said that Kashmiri people
will resist the move of Indian government if they blocked the aid of
international community particularly of OIC.
He
assured flood victims possible help and said that Hurriyat Conference is in
contact with the international community and so far as various nations
including OIC has assured immediate help to flood victims.
