Waza condemns desecration Quran in Chenab valley
Srinagar, Oct 31: Jammu and Kashmir Peoples League today strongly condemned the desecration of the Holy Quran in Chenab valley by some miscreants and cautioned people to remain vigilant against communal violence.
In a statement issued, Party Chairman, Mukhtar Ahmad Waza today while expressing deep anguish and concern over the violence against minority Muslim community in Zanaskar and the desecration of the Holy Quran by some miscreants in Chenab Valley said that the some elements are trying to create communal tension in the valley that can’t be tolerated at all.
He said that local administration should effectively act in this regard and tension creators should be dealt accordingly in the both regions of the Jammu and Kashmir because in both areas Muslims are in minority and to protect them should be administration’s first priority.
He said that policies against Islam are being hatched continuously on international, national and now in our own state with an aim to prov
ocate Muslim Ummah, but these forces had utterly failed to promote apostasy on mass-level in the Muslim Community.
Waza appealed general public of Zanskar and Chenab valley to ensure and maintain peace and communal harmony in both areas and also appealed Buddhists and Hinduism followers to ensure the safety of minority on humanitarian grounds   spokes man pl imtiyaz reshi,
