According to the chief spokes person peoples league Imtiyaz Reshi An emergency meeting of People’s League central council was held at the head office of People’s League on the direction of chief patron Sheikh Mohammad Yaqoob. The main leaders of the league which were present during this meeting include  Farooq Usman Dar, Ghulam Nabi  Darzi, Ghulam Qadir Rah, Nazir Ahmad Khan, Imtiyaz Reshi, Tahoor Siddiqui,Shakeel Rehman, Ghulam Mohammad Mir, Master Mohammad Maqbool ,Haji Qudus, Bashir Ahmed, Advocate Abdul Ahad Qadri,Umer Khalid and other dignified leaders, During the meeting consensus were made by the central council to appoint Farooq Usman Dar as designated custodian of the People's League.This decision was seconded by all the PL leaders from and across the border.While addressing the central council of PL Farooq Usmaan  said“Our Party has played a prominent role during the resistance movement and are still active and doing their bid to serve this cause to free Jammu Kashmir from Indian Rule.” Adding to it Farooq told that “constitutional setup within PL will be given first priority and our efforts to unify people’s league  will be continued in the future as it has been done so far. We will strive till we unify people’s league to give a new dimension to resistance movement of Kashmir people.
Meanwhile, the People's League newly designated custodian Farooq Usman has expressed his deep condolence over the human life loses caused in  Charar Sharif (Laden Village) of District Budgam by ill fated landslide. Party Leaders also expressed solidarity with the bereaved families of the victims; Party also expressed deep concern over the flood situation in Kashmir and directed their workers to extend a helping hand to the flood victims.

old Kashmir issue. Farooq said such elements which are trying to
defame the constitution of peoples league will not be tolerated at any
cost because peoples league has a pious constitution and history and
great leaders of peoples league sacrifices their lives for a noble
cause freedom of Kashmir party leaders should seek a lesson from
shaheed I inqalab S Hameed Wani and Shaheedi Azimat Sheikh Ab Aziz who
sacrifices their life for freedom of Kashmir. On This occasion party
decided to give full support to Hurriyat conference led by Mirwaiz
Kashmir Dr Molvi Mohmmad Umer Farooq .

In meeting it was also discussed Kashmiris were among the first to
be promised their right to self determination by the international
community through unanimously adopted UN Resolutions. However, more
than half a century later these commitments remain unfulfilled. So,
peace would continue to elude South Asia till the international
community honors its commitment.
They urged Indo-Pak countries to come forward for the early
resolution of Kashmir issue besides appealed international community
to fulfill their promise without any further delay.
Meanwhile in meeting leaders pray for the early recovery of party
leader Gulam Qadir Rah who is suffering from serious illness and for
to pay honor and dignity to said leader party has decided to publish
book written by
Gulam Qadir Rah on 11 august on the death
anniversary of shaheed Azimat Sheikh AB Aziz at APHC office before

Senior APHC leader and Jammu Kashmir Salvation Movement Chairman, Zaffer Akbar Bhat along with liberation front(H) Chairman, Javed Ahmad Mir  and Peoples League leader  chief spokesperson Imtiyaz Ahmad Reshi on the anniversary of Gowkadal massacre today lead a protest rally from Lal Chowk Srinagar to Gwakadal massacre memorial.
Dozens of activists’ of Salvation Movement including and secy women wing JKSM Ruqaya Bhaji participated in the rally and raised Pro-Islam and Pro-Freedom slogans.
On the occasion addressing a huge gathering, Zaffer Akbar Bhat paid rich tributes to martyrs of Gowkadal, Hanwadara and Sopore on this 25th martyrdom anniversary. He slammed India for not giving justice to victim families besides the passage of 25 years now.
Zaffar and Javed said that in 1990 Indian troops turned barbarians and massacred the innocent civilians. He said in the entire history of human kind, the massacre would remain a blot on India and would also depict that how the occupation played every dirty tactic to suppress the popular freedom movement of Kashmiris.
Terming the sacrifices laid down by Kashmiris for the cause as the priceless asset of the struggle, Zaffer Akbar Bhat stressed upon the international community to respect the aspirations of Kashmiris by playing their role in solving Kashmir issue either by implementing UN resolutions or though tripartite dialogue.
He also urged all pro-freedom leaders including Syed Ali Shah Geelani, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq, Mohmmad Yasin Malik and Shabir Ahmad Shah to forge unity for resisting the anti-Kashmir and anti-freedom struggle agenda of India. He said that unity among the ranks and folders of pro-freedom leaders was need of the hour as communal parties of India have resorted to communalizing the state by not only settling down the West Paskistan Refugees but were also using other tact’s to change demography of Muslim identity of Kashmir for strengthening its illegal rule over Kashmir.
He appealed anti-unity elements to shun from propagating the anti movement and India agenda for their vested interests and said that once pro-freedom leadership will forge unity, these so called leaders will automatically exposed

Srinagar, Jan 20: The Jammu and Kashmir Peoples League Chief Patron Sheikh Yaqoob in a statement to media has paid rich tributes to the 52 people who were martyred during the Gawkadal massacre on 21 January 1990.

Sheikh Yaqoob said that the sacrifices of Kashmiri martyrs would not be allowed to go waste and their mission would be taken to its logical conclusion. He said that the Kashmiri martyrs centre-staged Kashmir dispute at the international level. He reiterated the pledge to continue the liberation struggle, despite all odds. Sheikh has urged people to pray for the elevation-status of Kashmiri martyrs.
He maintained that unfortunately, the people of Jammu and Kashmir were still kept deprived of right to self-determination and the promises made with them at international level were not fulfilled.

Meanwhile a high level delegation led by JKPL spokesman Imtiyaz Ahmad Reshi and Javaid Wani visited the residence of League’s former chairman late Abdul Razaaq Sopori to condole the death of his wife who passed away for heavenly abode a day before. Army killing Kashmiris in traffic accidents under a planned conspiracy: Mukhtar Waza

Senior APHC leader and Jammu Kashmir Peoples League Chairman, Mukhtar Ahmad Waza today while expressing sympathy with the families of two civilians who were crushed by CRPF vehicle in Srinagar, accused Indian armed forces of killing Kashmiris on roads under a panned conspiracy.

Mukhtar Ahmad Waza, who is under house detention from 12 days, expressed serious concern over the rising road accidents involved Indian security forces. “Indian armed forces have unleashed a reign of terror on Kashmir roads by rash driving and so far as state machinery has failed to control the army drivers who continue to violate traffic rules resulting shocking accidents.” He said.

He said that drivers of Indian security forces were killing Kashmiris under a planned conspiracy. “Since they know killing Kashmiris by bullets exposes them at international level now they have unveiled new idea of killing Kashmiris in road accident by their vehicles.

Waza also blamed militarization of Kashmir for the rising traffic accidents on Kashmir roads. “Kashmir is highest militarized zone in the South Asian region with the reason lakhs of their vehicles play on our choked roads without giving dam to traffic rules.” He added.

Meanwhile, on the directions of party Chairman Mukhtar Ahmad Waza, a delegation of party comprising of party leaders including, Imtiyaz Ahmad Reshi,  Jaffer Kashmiri and Tahoor Ahmad Visited the residents of both the martyrs who were crushed to death by army vehicle yesterday in Srinagar and expressed sympathy with the bereaved families.

Waza, Mir and Reshi led protest demonstration against India’s illegal occupation 
Srinagar, October 27:
Senior APHC leader and Jammu Kashmir Peoples League Chairman, Mukhtar Ahmad Waza along with Liberation Front Chairman Javaid Ahmad Mir and other party senior leaders including Imtiyaz Ahmad Reshi today led a protest demonstration against the Indian illegal occupation.
Protesters raised Pro-Islam and Pro-freedom slogans and pledged to continue its political struggle for getting freedom from the illegal occupation of India.
APHC leader addressing the protesters earlier termed 27th of October blackest as day in the history of Kashmir. “It was 27th of October in 1947 when India invaded Kashmir and its troops landed here. They forcibly occupied Jammu and Kashmir and on its 67th anniversary Kashmir people are observing complete shutdown to renew its pledge for getting freedom from India.” Leader said.
They said that India and its armed forces used every means of oppression and suppression for crushing the peaceful freedom movement of Kashmir but still naïve Kashmiris haven’t bowed before the oppressor and are continue its indigenous movement by braving the Indian military oppression.
APHC leader said that during past 67 years people of Jammu and Kashmir haven’t sacrificed their lives, property and dignity for the sake of power or development but are rendering sacrifices for the peaceful resolution of Kashmir conflict which has endangered the peace and stability of South Asian region.
They asked people to remain cautious about the anti-freedom movement designs of India and its collaborators. “Again they will approach you and lure you for their vested interests but you have to remain committed towards the movement by rejecting the poll process.” They added.
APHC leaders urged United Nations to resolve the Kashmir issue according to the resolutions they have passed guaranteeing right to self-determination to the people of Jammu and Kashmir.
