The present political and movement related issues were discussed in the meeting.
While expressing reservation on the claim of the Army and authorities regarding the killing of seven youth as being militants, the Hurriyat demanded a completely impartial and independent probe of the incident. It was stated that doubts about the identity of the slain youth by the locals could not be termed as baseless. Given the past experience it has been witnessed that so many encounters where in Police and Army claimed to have killed militants but later they proved to be innocent civilians. People still remember encounters like pathribal, Machil, Ganderbal, Brakpora and many other incidents where innocent civilians were first abducted and later killed in cold blood. Hurriyat also strongly condemned the ruthless use of force against the mourners in the Funeral (janazah) of the slain youth.
In the meeting it was stated that Hurriyat Conference does not believe in unnecessary criticism or in pointing fingers on any pro-movement organization or person, however, considers that deliberate mindless fatawa proclamations and devoid of facts statements were against the objectives and interests of the movement having potential of creating confusion in the minds of the people. Hurriyat conference considers the implementation of UN resolutions or result oriented dialogue among all the parties to the dispute i.e. people of Jammu and Kashmir, India and Pakistan as unavoidable. It was further stressed that to present the objectives and the stand of the movement, the dialogue was the only credible means universally established and in accordance with the norms of international politics and diplomacy.
In the meeting it was also stated that instead of raising emotional screams on the issue, Hurriyat conference believes in seriousness in its approach and actions towards the movement and the conglomerate leadership has the complete confidence and competence of putting forth its stand forcefully before any power of the world. It was further said in the meeting that Hurriyat is well aware of its responsibilities towards the movement and being the representative of the sentiments and aspirations of the people will not leave any stone unturned in making all political efforts at local as well as international level for the resolution of Kashmir issue.
The meeting stressed that on the path of a righteous struggle the people who are offering priceless sacrifices and who are bearing the brunt of continuous suppressions and repression day in and day out on this land are the real masters of freedom movement and they have the full comprehension and capacity to indentify between the well wishers and sellers of the movement.

#India has ever since
murdered its judiciary system in #Kashmir
Pro-Indian politicians should now guess where they stand
Srinagar, Feb 19:
While reacting to the Supreme Court's verdict on the assassins of former Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi, Jammu and Kashmir people’s league chairman, @Mukhtar Ahmad Waza said that since the day India occupied state illegally, it murdered its so-called secularism, democracy and judiciary as it has different ever since maintained different policy on Kashmir just to muzzle the ongoing freedom struggle of Kashmiri people.
In an issued statement, he said that hours after Supreme Court verdict Tamil Nadu government decided to release all seven killers of former prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi whose death sentence was changed into life imprisonment which not only eye opener for the whole Kashmiri nation but particularly for state collaborators and main stream politicians who help India in its anti-freedom policy and oppression. Waza said that main stream politicians who claim that they were not consulted before the hanging of Shaheed Afzal Guru must now understand where they figure and exist.
He said that double standards whether in Judiciary or politicians, India was strategically trying to muzzale down the freedom struggle in which they badly failed as the movement is inked with the bllod of martyrs who scarified their lives for securing right to self determination-The birth right guaranteed by #UnitedNation resolutions.
“Indian double standards in Judiciary were more painful than political or secularist as it was assumed that judiciary anywhere in world remains independent but in India judiciary has too double standards which to got exposed when the freed the killers of Rajiv Gandhi and hanged innocent Kashmiri Mohd Afzal Guru that too leaving asides available witnesses and evidences just to satisfy the collective conscience of its countrymen.” Waza said adding Kashmiris have never expected any kind of just from oppressor (India).
HE said that besides hanging Guru Shab still time india has not returned the mortal remains of both the great martyrs Mohd Maqbool Bhat and Mohd Afzal Guru which also exposes the double standards of India.
He demanded international community’s intervention as India has now opened all doors of oppression.
