Waza welcomes Pak Army Chief’s statement, says Kashmir resolution will guarantee regional peace
Condemns state sponsored terrorism of Indian troops in valley

Srinagar, May 2, 2014
Jammu Kashmir People’s League Chairman, Mukhtar Ahmad Waza today welcomed the statement of Pakistan Army Chief General Raheel Sharif, assuring resolution of Kashmir issue in accordance with the wishes of Kashmiris and in line with UNSC resolutions for lasting peace in the region.
Waza, who was accompanied by Party Vice Chairman, Nazeer Ahmad Khan, and General Sectary Mohd Ashraf Vaid while addressing a gathering after Friday paryers in Verinag area of Islamabad district, termed the statement of Pakistan Army Chief depicting realism beneficial for both the countries in guaranteeing regional peace.
“Pakistan Army Chief’s statement is established reality which India must accept, Kashmir is internationally recognized dispute and for its resolution, United Nations has passed resolutions which needs to implemented for its peaceful resolution as without resolving the dispute, peace and stability in south Asian region can’t be guaranteed as in case both the nuclear armed countries can disrupt the prevailing peace which will surely disrupt the peace of whole world.” Waza said, adding reaction of Indian political parties shows their political compulsions.
He said that Indian political parties calming illegally occupied state as their integral part is their political compulsion as the country is going through general elections, so in the season Indian political parties will issue such statements just to lure the voters.
Waza said that No peace can be guaranteed without the resolution of Kashmir issue in its proper political context.
Condemning, the Nawakadal Killings, clamping of curfew in Srinagar, restrictions in other parts of the valley, arresting over thousand youths and detaining of pro-freedom leadership in jails and police station, Waza said that state sponsored terrorism of Indian troops can’t week the ongoing freedom struggle neither can suppress the voices of common Kashmiris.
“Despite the policy of military repression, India could not weaken the blossoming freedom movement. India can’t overlook the aspirations of Kashmiri people and the time has come that India should shun its intransigence policy and take serious steps to solve the Kashmir issue for once and all,” Waza said.

JKPL paid glowing tributes to Nawakdal martyr, Mukhtar Ahmad Waza again put under house arrest

Srinagar, May 1: Jammu and Kashmir People’s League today while paying tributes to Nawakadal martyr who was martyred Indian troops on Wednesday evening, condemned continuous house detention of Party Chairman Mukhtar Ahmad Waza and said that oppressive tact’s can’t help India to sabotage the ongoing freedom struggle.

Party expressed solidarity with the family of Bashir Ahmad who was martyred by troops yesterday in the evening at Nawakadal and said that troops were killing the people of state with impunity. Quoting Party Chairman, Mukhtar Ahmad Waza who continues to reel under house detention said that oppression, killings, and through undemocratic uncivilized tact’s Indian can’t muzzle the freedom movement. He also prayed for the early recovery of the injured civilians.

Party said that after this cool blooded murder, India has changed the whole valley Kashmir valley into military base camp and with the imposition of curfew in Srinagar parts troops not allowed citizens to visit the family martyr and express solidarity which is purely a religious activity.

Meanwhile party Spokesman, Imtiyaz Ahmad Reshi condemned the continuous house detention of party Chairman Mukhtar Ahmad Waza was today again put house arrest. He said that a heavy contingent of police raided the house of Mukhtar Shab at Kadipora in Islamabad district this morning and put him under house arrest.

Spokesman condemned the cold blooded murder of Nawakadal Youth and termed it worst kind of military oppression. He paid tributes to the martyred youth and expressed solidarity with the family.

He also thanked residents of Srinagar for rejecting the Indian sham polls.

Paying tributes to Nawakadal Martyr Owais Ahmed who was killed by the Indian security forces in the evening, Jammu and Kashmir people league, Mukhtar Ahmad Waza had extended support to Strike call given by All Parties Hurriyat Conference Chairman Mirvaiz Umar Farooq.
Waza in a statement expressed solidarity and sympathy with the family of martyr and prayed for the early recovery of two people including a woman who sustained critical injuries..

Srinagar, April 30, 2014: Islamabad Police today again arrested Jammu Kashmir People’s League Chairman Mukhtar Ahmad Waza when he was leading a protest demonstration in the town against the arrest spree and police.
Mukhtar Ahmad Waza shab this morning along with dozens of party activists held a protest demonstration in Kadipora Islamabad area. They raised high-pitched slogans against the arrest spree and police atrocities. Mukhtar Waza on the occasion said that Indian is trying to muzzle the ongoing freedom movement through its ten lakh troops which have been deployed in length and breadth of Kashmir valley-making Kashmir highest military zone in the South Asian region.
Terming the ongoing elections, India’s policy of misleading and deceiving world community at international level, Waza said that if India will allow freedom lovers to move freely they will get big ‘Zero’ from Jammu and Kashmir in terms of Voter turn-out, as the people of state have rejected these polls ever since and have never reposed the faith in Indian system.
“Hundreds of our young people including pro-freedom leader have been put in jails, Indian troops have dominated every single lane and road of the valley, and troops have lashed a reign of terror and if they call this military operation election then it is shame for the country claiming world’s biggest democratic country.” He said.
However, police foiled the protesters and arrested Mukhtar Ahmad Waza. He was shifted to Police station Sherbagh. Party Spokesman condemned police action and said that India was using its brutal tact’s to sabotage the ongoing freedom but till time couldn’t succeed.

Besides curbs and heavy deployment of Indian security forces, Jammu and Kashmir People’s League leaders today again on the directions of Party Chairman Mukhtar Ahmad Waza, Visited several areas of Batamaloo Srinagar and appealed general public to stay away from the sham polls being conducted by India with the help of its military forces with an aim to justify its illegal occupation.
Imtiyaz Ahmad Reshi, Jaffer Kashmiri and Shabir Ahmad appeared in Srinagar city today besides the heavy deployment of Indian security forces and distributed anti-election literature. People’s League told public that conducting elections in this disputed zone is India’s well designed policy to justify its illegal occupation, however neither India has succeed in it nor the people of Jammu and Kashmir will allow these polices to get successful.
They said that people’s league has ever since put its policy regarding these sham polls in public domain. . Remembering the sacrifices lay down by party leards including S.Hamid Wani and Shaheed-e-Azimat- Sheikh Abdul Aziz, they and urged people to respect the sacrifices of martyrs and their mission by boycotting the polls.
Meanwhile Party Chairman, Mukhtar Ahmad Waza condemned the arrest spree and said that hundreds of people including youth and pro-freedom leaders have been arrested ahead of the sham polls which establishes that it is nothing but just a heavy military operation.
Mukhtar Ahmad Waza visited fire affected families at Sherpora Islamabad and expressed solidarity and sympathy with the families whose houses gutted in the incident due to the negligence of district administration.
“They (Administration) behave like kings but I would like to remember that the fat salaries they are getting is the tax paid by the people of Jammu and Kashmir.” Waza said, adding due to the denial of Fire and emergency services department all three families are living there under sky.
He appealed influential people to come and help the families.
Meanwhile police today in the morning raided the house of Imtiyaz Ahmad Reshi and harassed the family.

Waza arrested and detained in Police station Sherbagh, Party Leaders intensified Election Boycott campaign
Srinagar, April 28
 Police today arrested and detained Jammu Kashmir people's league Chairman Mukhtar Ahmad Waza in Police Station Sherbagh when he was on way to Arwani while as party senior leaders intensified its Poll boycott campaign,  visited several areas of Srinagar, Ganderbal districts and requested public to stay away from the sham polls  
JKPL Spokesman condemned the police action and termed it worst kind of human rights violations. He said that waza shab was scheduled to visit the family of Martyr Abdul Haq Malik was martyred by Indian troops during an operation in Shopian district along two other pro-freedom youths.
Meanwhile on the directions of Party Chairman, Party leaders including Ghulam Qadir Rah, Imtiyaz Ahmad Reshi, Jaffer Kashmiri, Tahoor Ahmad and others visited several areas of Ganderbal district including Ganderbal Buchpora and Pandach. During the daylong visit they distributed anti-election literature and appealed general public o stay away from the sham polls being conducted in the state with the help of heavy military might.
They told people that India was misleading the world community with the help of these polls and it is because of these people our people are being hanged, killed and jailed.
“If you take part in those elections you will elect again those mainstream politicians who hanged Shaheed Afzal Guru, who are responsible for the bloodshed in the valley, who have jailed our hundreds of leaders and young people besides these oppression India at international level after these sham polls justifies its illegal occupations, so we have to stand united and reject these polls for sending a message to world community that Kashmiris want resolution of Kashmir issue.” They told the people.
They said that people in South Kashmir had proven their aspirations and sentiments before the world community by boycotting the polls so now it is the turn of Srinagar and North Kashmir.
They also condemned the arrest spree and said that hundreds of people including youth and pro-freedom leaders have been arrested ahead of the sham polls.

Exemplary boycott eye opener for New Delhi: Waza
United Nations must come forward, implement resolutions

Urging United Nations to initiate process of implementing its resolutions guaranteeing ‘right to self determination’ Jammu and Kashmir People’s league Chairman, Mukhtar Ahmad Waza while addressingFriday prayers in Islamabad district said through Economic packages and military might New Delhi can’t justify its illegal occupation.
Terming the exemplary boycott eye opener for New Delhi, Waza said, “Since 1951 people have never put faith in Indian democracy and have boycotted these sham polls and this time again People of South Kashmir rejected these polls by exemplary boycott.” Adding, this poll boycott must serve eye opener New Delhi which has ever since showed reluctance in resolving the decades old Kashmir issue which has visible potential of sparking nuclear war in south Asian region.
He said that time a come when international community especially United Nations has to full fill its responsibility as people of Jammu and Kashmir since decades now have laid down uncounted sacrifices. He welcomed the statement of Pakistan foreign spokesman in which they have said that elections in the state can’t be substitute to right to self determination and hope Pakistan will continue to support Kashmiri people and continue to provide them on political, moral and diplomatic help.
Waza said that economic packages can no longer help India in continuing its illegal occupation over the state neither their military might can muzzle the ongoing freedom struggle. He said that instead of oppressive and repressive tact’s Indian must take bold steps for the early resolution of Kashmir issue.
He appealed International community especially United Nations to initiate the processing of implementing resolutions guaranteeing ‘right to self determination’ taking into account the sentiments and aspirations of Kashmiri people which they again expressed by boycotting the so-called elections.
Waza denounced the arrest spree and use of brute force on peaceful protesters in this southern region of valley since yesterday and demanded unconditional release of all the detainees.
He appealed international human rights watch dogs including Amnesty International to take a serious note of current situation in the valley.
