People’s league castigates state government for state terrorism “Police trying to restrain the Political activities of Mukhtar Waza” PL Spokesperson





Srinagar, January 22: Jammu and Kashmir People’s League Spokesperson
today castigated state government its agencies for restraining the
peaceful activities of party Chairman Mukhtar Ahmad Waza and said that
government has lashed of terror among the fro-freedom political
workers as well as among the leaders of Hurriyat conference.
Spokesperson, Imtiyaz Reshi in statement issued here said that
government especially Police has restrained the activities of
pro-freedom hurriyat leader, Mukhtar Ahmad Waza by pressurizing them
from time to time and similarly hurriyat activists are being
implicating in fabricated cases as to silence the voice of that is
being raised for the resolution of Kashmir issue from last two
decades.
“Police is continuously harassing our party chairman especially after
he returned from Pakistan. They have irritated our chairman and after
now when he refused to take security they are now trying to restrain
his political activities that are grave rights violations.” Imtiyaz
Reshi said, adding that Muktar Waza is itself an ideology that is
fighting for peaceful Kashmir resolution since from 80’s and was
lodged in jails and spent over 10 years in different jails of Indian
that has affected his health too.
“Remaining insides jails of Indian has badly affected his health but
he is the man of principles and he is committed to fight politically
against all odds.” Reshi said.
He said India with the help of State government has converted whole
valley into a police state and government is itself working on the
dictations of police and agencies were political activities of
pro-freedom leaders are being restrained to carry out political
activities. He appealed international political community to intervene
so that pro-freedom leaders can continue their political activities
aimed for the peaceful resolution of Kashmir issue. He also demanded
immediate release of all those people, especially young who have been
jailed in fabricated cases.
