New Delhi can’t muzzle Kashmir freedom struggle by military might: Mukhtar Waza
Srinagar, July 20, 2013
Jammu and Kashmir People’s league chairman Mukhtar Ahmad Waza while condemning Gool Ramban massacre, today said that New Delhi and state sponsored terrorism can’t muzzle the ongoing freedom struggle. He appealed international community to help Kashmiris in getting rid from the Indian bondage and oppression.
Waza who along with pro-freedom leadership continues to be under house arrest, paid glowing tributes to those who fell the bullets of Indian security forces in Gool Ramban area while striving Indian tyranny and desecration of the holy Quran.
He said that the history of Kashmir is full of massacres from the date when Indian armed forces occupied state illegally and they continue its process of killing innocent people while as the world powers act as the mute spectators. Ridiculing the double standards of international community, Waza said that they were looking Kashmir situation through New Delhi lenses and hence worst kind of India’s oppression gets unnoticed. He said that Kashmir freedom struggle is legal and the resolutions passed in United Nations form its strong bases, so international community is appealed to take a strong notice of the prevailing situation in Jammu and Kashmir and help the helpless people in getting their birth right ‘right to self determination’
He also appealed United Nations and other human rights organization to depute their teams as early as possible as to get the first hand information about the state that has been caged and turned into a jail. He said that curfew has been clamped and people are facing numerous problems especially those in hospitals or ill. He said that pro-freedom leadership has been arrested and people are not being allowed to hold peaceful demonstration against the Gool Ramban Massacre.
Criticizing the probe ordered by Indian home minister, Waza said that a single trooper involved in the human rights violations and massacres happened since 27 October 1947 was not punished and a single investigation has not been completed by Government of India besides claims of Zero tolerance. Reminding Indian Prime Minister of his commitment of showing zero tolerance in the state, Waza said that India is misleading world by its false propaganda.
Appealing people to protect the martyr’s mission, Waza reaffirmed that the mission of those who laid their lives while striving Indian bondage will be taken to its logical conclusion.
