India wants to legitimate its rule through Zubin Mehta’s concert: Waza

Senior Hurriyat leader and Jammu Kashmir people’s league chairman, Mukhtar Ahmad Waza today while appealing German Embassy to with hold the decision of organizing musical concert in Kashmir said that concert is amid to legitimate India’s illegal rule and will affect the disputed nature of the state.
Waza in a statement said that Zubin Mehta’s musical concert is being organized under a well planned strategy of cultural aggression and through it India wants legitimate its illegal rule and wants to show the world community caged peace in the valley.
He appealed Germany and its Ambassador Michael Steiner to spend money they have kept for international musical concert by Zubin Mehta in Srinagar, on the JK’s ailing health and education sectors. He said that they should construct a hospital or university if they really care kashmiri people.
JKPL Chairman said that Germany should not forget that Kashmir is a conflict zone and in 2008 they have signed a paper for investigating the unidentified mass graves in the Kashmir illegally occupied by India since 1947 and till time India has not took a step forward in this regard.
Taking a dig on the people supporting musical concert in Kashmir, Waza said that its very unfortunate that few valley based Singers are part of India’s conspiracy. He said that it could be that Zubin Mehta might not have the seen the India’s oppression but the Kashmiri singers who are part of the programme should restrain from such activities as they know the reality of Kashmir.
Appealing intellectuals, business people, students, professors, doctors and lawyers to make people aware about the policies and programs of India, he also appealed ulma’s to aware people about the conspires of cultural aggression during Friday congregations.
