 Mukhtar waza along with Mohd Musadiq Aadil syed basheer indrabi,imtiyaz reshi, ab majid wani yasmeen raja, zahid zahoor , fayaz ahmad ingener today protested at bijbihara against killing of 54 inoceant youths in 1993.

WAZA PAYS RICH TRIBUTES TO BIJBEHARA MARTYRS
Condemns Omar’s statement underestimating role of dialogue
SRINAGAR, October 22: Executive member of Hurriyat Conference (M) and Chairman of Jammu Kashmir Peoples league Mukhtar Ahmad Waza has paid glowing tributes to the martyrs who fell to the bullet of Indian Border Security Force (BSF) personnel in Bijbehara on October 22, 1993.
While waza who visited Mazari-e- Shudha at Bijberaha today along with party leaders and activists paid glowing tribute to the martyrs and expressed sympathy with the families.
Remembering martyrs, he said that it was October 22, 1993 when Indian Border Security Force (BSF) personnel opened fire on a peaceful demonstration who were protesting against the siege of Hazratbal shrine by Indian Army and killed over 50 innocent civilians maximum among them the teenagers and left hundreds injured. He said even those who tried to help injured were also shot dead and thus Bijbehara massacre along with others like Kupwara, Baramullah, awkadal, mass rape incident in Kunan poshpora, Shopian, killing of youths in 2008, 2009 and 2010 remains a blot on Indian democracy and secularism.

Addressing the gathering, he said that no action had been taken, so far, against the killers of the innocent people despite passing of 20 years, proving that Indian and Indian agencies are involved in bloodshed that occurred in valley from last 67 years.

“The sacrifices of 1993 and even before or after that are assets for the movement and can never go waste. Who sacrificed their lives will serve as beacon light for the rest of us.” Waza said adding that Kashmir martyrs have center staged the Kashmir issue and because of the martyrs world on humanitarian grounds wants to resolve the issue and they sacrificed their lives for a sacred cause and the sacrifices would not be allowed to go waste

He said that the ongoing movement would be taken to its logical conclusion and appealed the international community, United Nations and world human rights watch groups to take a serious note of the human rights violations done by the security forces in the valley and to help resolve the Kashmir dispute in accordance with Kashmiris’ aspirations and relevant United Nations resolutions.

Waza castigated Omar Abdullah for pointing towards a war and said, “what does Omar mean by saying Delhi should think on other options rather than dialogue, we don’t want more bloodshed in the valley as we have rendered uncounted sacrifices for the resolution of Kashmir issue and it is now time to have peaceful and meaningful talks between India, Pakistan and genuine leadership of Kashmir for its resolution.” Adding LOC Skirmish will continue till Kashmir gets resolved according to the aspirations of Kashmiri people.

He said that Omar like people are responsible for the massacres that took place from time to time in Kashmir, as Indian army is.

Waza was accompanied by senior leaders and activists including Imtiyaz Ahmad Reshi, Fayaz Ahmad Bhat, Eng Fayaz, Molvi Mohmmad Amin, Peer Mudasir Ahmad, Zulfi Masood,

Mohmmad Musadiq Adil, Mirvaiz South Kashmir Qazi Ahmad Yasir Ab Majeed Wani, Bashir Ahmad Indrabi, Yasmeen Raja, Farooq Ahmad Tawheedi were also present on the occasion
