Srinagar, Oct 10: Senior Hurriyat Leader and Chairman Jammu Kashmir Peoples League, Mukhtar Ahmad Waza today said that the resolution of Kashmir issue can only guarantee peace in South Asia and on Indo-Pak borders, so it is necessary for both the countries to come forward for its early resolution.

Addressing a gathering in Pakpora Pulwama, Waza who was accompanied by party leaders including Molvi Mudasir Ahmad, Molvi Mohd Safi, Shabir Ahmad, Fayaz Ahmad, appealed India and Pakistan to come forward for the early resolution of decades old Kashmir issue that has endangered peace in South Asia.

”Since since past seven decades, endless blood had been spilled within the valley and on the borders and it will continue till Kashmir gets resolved as per the aspirations of Kashmiri people.” He said.

Commenting on recent indo-pak border tension, Waza said that peace on borders or in south asia can’t be guaranteed till Kashmir gets resolved and solution to Kashmir issue would not be achieved unless India and Pakistan will take into confidence the sentiment of 'freedom' being expressed by the people of the valley.

Waza has again urged the Amnesty International to help in release of illegally detained Kashmiris youths and Hurriyat leaders, who have been arrested during the peaceful protests that were taken from time to time since 2008 before Eid-ul-Azha.
