Waza paid tributes to Kashmir martyrs, appeals people to participate in Eidgah March
Srinagar, May 15, 2014

Jammu and Kashmir People’s League chairman Mukhtar Ahmad Waza today paid glowing tributes to Kashmir martyrs including ‘Shaheed-e-Millat’ Late Moulvi Muhammad Farroq & ‘Shaheed-e-Hurriyat’ Late Abdul Ghani Lone on their martyrdom anniversaries respectively. He also paid glowing tributes to Shaheed-e-Azimat Sheikh Abdul Aziz and Shaheed S.Hamid Wani
In a statement today Waza endorsed the Martyr’s week program of All Parties Hurriyat Conference (M) and has appealed common masses to join the Eid Gah march on 21ist of May. Waza also while giving final touch to the scheduled program in a meeting which was attended by Nazir Ahmad Khan, Mohd Ashraf Sofi and Fayaz Ahmad has stressed upon party leaders, workers and activist to work hard for ensuring maximum participation in the march. It is important to mention here that Mukhtar Ahmad Waza will lead the march from Islambad town to Srinagar martyr’s grave yard.
He said that remembering martyrs of nation who laid down their precious lives for freedom struggle during past decades is important for the freedom struggle as the morale of natives of an oppressed nation gets boosted by remembering the cause.
Appealing common masses of South Kashmir to participate in the Eid Gah March as it will be an eye opener for world community and through this even world community will be reminded that people of Jammu and Kashmir want peaceful resolution of Kashmir issue according to the resolutions passed in United Nations. He said that paying tributes to martyrs at martyr’s grave yard Srinagar will also help us in reminding the world community that Kashmiri people will continue to offer sacrifices till Kashmir issue gets resolved as per the aspirations and wishes of the people- who are suffering and braving the Indian military oppression and suppression since now from last several decades.
Meanwhile, Waza rejected Indian Prime minister’s special envoy and track two diplomat S K Lambah’s remarks on Kashmir and said that Kashmir was never a land dispute between the two countries. He said that people of the state have offered sacrifices for the right to ‘self determination’ and hence will continue to fight for securing till at any cost.
