Waza visited bereaved family of murdered lady in Kulgam, demands independent probe
Condemned use of brute force on peaceful protesters demanding probe 

Srinagar, May 16, 2014: Jammu and Kashmir People’s league Chairman, Mukhtar Ahmad Waza today visited the family of 25 years old pregnant lady whose dead body was found after 10 days by the locals in Mirbazar area of Kulgam district yesterday.
Waza accompanied by party senior leaders including Nazir Ahmad Khan, Master Gull Mohmmad, Ghulam Qadir Najar, Mohammad Yousf expressed sympathy and heartfelt condolences with the family of Sumira Jan and demanded swift action and independent probe into this heinous crime.
Addressing a gathering of monomers, Waza said that crime against Kashmiri women has increased due to the Kashmir conflict and it goes unnoticed on each day. Decrying the role of puppet authorities and state police, Mukhtar Ahmad Waza said it seems that crushing, curbing the freedom struggle is there only policy and agenda.
He denounced the use of brute force on family members of the deceased lady who were protesting yesterday and demanding punishment to culprits. Waza said that family members as well as residents of the area have no faith in the Indian judiciary system so it needs to be probed impartially and independently through independent international organization.
On the occasion raised pro-Islam and pro-freedom slogans and said that Indian authorities were directly responsible for the growing crime rate in the Kashmir as it goes unproved and justice to the victim families remains elusive.
Mukhtar Ahmad Waza meanwhile also expressed sympathy and solidarity with the family of Party spokesman, Imtiyaz Ahmad Reshi whose mother-in-law passed yesterday after a brief illness.
Waza prayed for the both deceased ladies.
