Expressing solidarity with the
bereaved family of Javaid Ahmad Mir, Mirwaiz also offered special prayers for
the deceased soul beseeching Allah to grant him place in Jannat.
A high level delegation including
senior hurriyat leaders, Musadiq Adil, Advocate Shahid-ul-Islam, Zaffar Akbar
Bhat, Abdul Majid Banday, Hakim Abdul Rashid, Engineer Hilal Ahmad War and
Imtiyaz reshi visited the house of bereaved and condoled the death of his
paternal aunt.
Meanwhile, head of hurriyat’s public
contact cell, Zaffar Akbar Bhat headed a delegation and visited Batamaloo,
Baghat and various other places in connection with the public contact
programme. Bhat also addressed several public gathering during which they said
Kashmir issue should be solved according to the wishes and aspirations of
Kashmiris. He further said that UN resolutions provide legal basis to the vexed
dispute,adding, it has been the stand of APHC that Kashmir issue should be
solved through UN resolutions or by holding result-oriented tripartite dialogue
between the stake holders to the dispute.
Bhat further said that all the
bilateral talks have failed in the past and it was important that Kashmiri
leadership should be involved in any talks aimed to solve Kashmir dispute so to
make it a credible affair.
