Meanwhile a meeting was held at Islamabad, chaired by Peoples League Chairman Mukhtar Ahmad Waza which was attended by Gen Secretary Mohammad Ashraf Ved and others.
During the meeting Waza said that the ongoing movement would be taken to its logical conclusion and appealed the international community to help resolve the Kashmir dispute in accordance with Kashmiris’ aspirations and relevant United Nations resolutions.
Moreover, alleging the international community was showing its double standards over ‘continuing Human Rights violations in Jammu and Kashmir, He said that the Western countries have maintained silence over the Kashmir issue. “The countries are giving preference to economic interests over the human rights. Not a single statement has come from the European Union or America on Kashmir in past two years,” he said.
While questioning international community, Mukhtar Waza said that is this not possible for them to stop human rights violations in Kashmir and to pressurize India to Stop the HR Violations.
He also appealed the International and Indian Human rights organizations to take notice of the HR abuses in Kashmir
