He said that our youth have played an important role in internationalizing the issue by laying down their lives so the role played by them can’t be under estimated.
He said that people of the state continue to render sacrifices since India illegally occupied the state and is continuously trying to muzzle the genuine rights of kashmiri people including birth right ‘right to self determination’. However they never succeed besides the brutal oppression.
Waza appealed United Nations and other international community to play its role in stopping the bloodshed on Kashmir streets and India’s opressiuon over Kashmiri innocent people by urging both the countries to resolve the Kashmir conflict either by implementing UN resolution or tripartite talks, involving Kashmiri people as the Kashmir belongs to the people of Jammu and Kashmir.
Meanwhile, Waza denounced attack on AAP leader Prashant Bhushan, who a couple of days before advocated a referendum over the presence of lakhs of Indian troops in the state, by a Hindu extremist party called Hindu Rakshak Dal.
Waza said Indian extremist forces have since sabotaged the voice country’s intelligentsia and hence claims of being world’s number one democratic country as well as secular stands exposed.
WAZA appealed civil society members of the country to take a stand against these extremist and help in paving the way for Peaceful Kashmir resolution.
