United Nations had accepted Kashmir as an international dispute:



According to the spokesman pl Imtiyaz Reshian an extraordinary meeting held at Peoples League head office Srinagar, chaired by its vice chairman Mukhtar Ahmad Waza . Jammu Kashmir Peoples League has unanimously decided that they will continue their door to door campaign in order to strengthen the organization from ground level.
While addressing a party meeting Mukhtar Ahmad Waza said that India is not sincere to settle the Kashmir dispute and is using delaying tactics. Waza said that the United Nations had accepted Kashmir as an international dispute and passed resolutions for its solution. “The intransigent stance of India on Kashmir is the main hurdle to resolve the long-pending dispute,” he added. He said that the lingering dispute could only be resolved through implementation of the UN resolutions and India must take concrete steps in this regard. “The people of Kashmir have never accepted the illegal Indian occupation and will continue their struggle to achieve their right to self-determination”, Waza maintained.
Waza urged India to end its policy of oppression in Kashmir and create a conducive atmosphere for tripartite resolution of the Kashmir dispute.
Waza said that the recent disclosures of WikiLeaks about gross human rights violations were not new to the people of Kashmir who themselves were witnessing and bearing various forms of torture being inflicted upon them by the Indian police and troops for the last two decades.
Meanwhile Spokesman pl Imtiyaz Reshi appeals UN, OIC and human rights organizations including Amnesty International and Asia Watch to put pressure on India to stop human right violations and settle the Kashmir dispute.

Farooq Ahmad Dar pl leaders mother- passes away, JKPL expresses sorrowfulness


According to spokes man pl Imtiyaz Ahmad Reshi in an statement said The mother- of   Hurriyat Leader and  chief organisor of Jammu Kashmir Peoples League, Farooq Ahmad Dar passes away today in JVC Hospital today at 7.OO A.M, due to cancer, after ailing for the several weeks. She was 55. Her Namaz-e-Janaza was led by Mohd Maqbool Sofi and Imtiyaz Reshi and was attended by hundreds of people including party workers, political and social personalities in the srinagar at his residence at  bemina .

Jammu Kashmir Peoples League has expressed profound grief and sorrow over the sad demise of the mother of Farooq Dar and prayed Allah Almighty to rest her in eternal peace and grant courage to the bereaved families to bear the loss.
JKPL in a condolence meeting offered fateha for the departed soul and expressed solidarity with the bereaved families. She was a deeply pious and God fearing woman and May God rest her soul in peace. May also bestow patience to all those who grieve at her passing, for from Him we come and to Him we must return, spokesman JKPL added.
Meanwhile chairman JKPL, Mukhtar Waza   in a statement expresses commiseration over the death of the mother of Farooq Dar and prayed Allah to rest the departed soul in peace. Mukhtar Ahmad Waza has also expressed profound grief and sorrow over the sad demise of mirwaiz Islamabad Qazi Amanullah sahib. Waza said he was a deeply pious and God fearing man and May God rest his soul in peace. May also bestow patience to all those who grieve at her passing, for from Him we come and to Him we must return, spokesman JKPL added. A PL Team Visited the house of Qazi Amanulah at Islamabad led by Mukhtar Ahmad Waza and include Mohd Ashraf Vaid, Imtiyaz Ahmad Reshi, Mohd Maqbool Sofi and others.

Kashmiris struggling for right to self-determination: Peoples League


In an extraordinary meeting of JKPL at its central office  srinagar chaired by spokesman Peoples League, Imtiyaz Ahmad Reshi. A threadbare discussion was held in the meeting about recent development vis-à-vis Kashmir. Senior APHC Leader said that India has forcibly occupied Jammu Kashmir and the people of Kashmir are struggling for securing right to self-determination.
Imtiyaz Reshi said that Indian police during last two decades had martyred more than one hundred thousand Kashmiris and over 10,000 had been disappeared in custody. He said that the people of the Kashmir had rendered unprecedented and countless sacrifices for Kashmir cause and they would take the liberation movement to its logical end. The sacrifices of Kashmiri people would not go waste as the day is not far when they would get rid of Indian rulers, he added.
Reshi also strongly denounced the continued acts of Indian state terrorism across the Kashmir Valley and added that the world rights groups had not been allowed to visit Kashmir for the last 20 years, which had provided free hand to the occupation forces to kill the innocent Kashmiris.
Imtiyaz Reshi further stressed that Kashmir is a political dispute which can be resolved through dialogue process involving Pakistan, India and the Kashmiri people. Reshi maintained that New Delhi should withdraw its troops from Kashmir, repeal black laws, remove bunkers and release Kashmiri detainees to create an atmosphere for resolving the dispute.
The meeting was attended by  Mohd Magbool Sofi  Ghulam Nabi Sofi Farooq Ahmad Darand dozens of PL workers and activists.

Inclusion of Kashmiris vital to meaningful talks: JKPL


Senior APHC Leader and Vice Chairman of Jammu and Kashmir Peoples League (JKPL), Mukhtar Ahmad Waza, has said that the inclusion of Kashmiris is vital to the meaningful dialogue for resolving the Kashmir dispute.

Mukhtar Waza while addressing Juma congregation at Jamia Masjid in Muqam, Anantnag, today, pointed out that Kashmir was one of the oldest unresolved disputes of the world and its solution was not possible without taking the Kashmiri people on board. He said that the dispute could only be settled through tripartite talks including Pakistan, India and the real Kashmiri leadership.
He urged India to revoke draconian laws, release all illegally detained pro-freedom leaders and activists and stop gross human rights violations in Kashmir to create conducive environment for talks on Kashmir.
