Waza appeals  International Criminal Tribunal to investigate into
unmarked graves in Kashmir

Srinagar, October  31:Hurriyet Conference executive member and Chairman
Jammu Kashmir Peoples league, Mukthar Ahmad waza has appealed to the
international Criminal Tribunal to investigate into the discovery of
unmarked graves in Kashmir and identify the persons buried in them and
 the report about the unidentified graves in the  territory must be
analyzed in the context that over ten thousand Kashmiris have
disappeared in custody during the last twenty-two years.
Waza while addressing party workers at different areas of Phalgam,
appleaded the world organization to help kashmiri people in resolving
long pending Kashmir issue on humatarian grounds. He said that Kashmir
was a political dispute, which could be resolved through tripartite
talks involving India,Pakistan and the true Kashmiri leadership.

He stressed India to create conducive atmosphere for meaningful and
result-oriented talks on Kashmir. He said that permanent peace in
South Asia was impossible without the settlement of the long-pending
dispute over Kashmir.
Waza demanded an end to unlawful arrest spree and halt to gross
violations of human rights by Indian troops in Kashmir. He said that
the world community had recognized Kashmir as a dispute, which should
be settled through dialogue process.
 Waza appealed to the international community, United Nations, OIC and
world human rights to impress upon India to end human rights
violations in Kashmir.
He maintained that India’s claim of zero tolerance against rights
abuse proved to be a hoax in the backdrop of fake encounters and
targeted killing of innocent Kashmiris over the past few months.
Waza urged India to stop the rights abuse, withdraw its troops and
repeal all black laws from the territory before initiating meaningful
talks on Kashmir.
He deplored that the occupation authorities had always tried to shield
the culprits involved in the killing of innocent Kashmiri people.
Waza said that Indian troops had unleashed a reign of terror in
Kashmir to suppress Kashmiris’ liberation struggle. “The troopers
commit gross rights’ abuses with impunity in Kashmir due to the
invocation of draconian laws by occupation authorities,” he added.
He said irrespective of any countries support Kashmiri people and
especially youths are committed to achieve independence from India at
every cost.

 leader of Jammu Kashmir Peoples league has paid glowing tributes to
the martyrs who fell to the bullet of Indian Border Security Force
(BSF) personnel in Bijbehara on October 22, 1993.
Peoples league delegation, headed by Execative member of Hurriyat
Confrence (M) and Chairman of Jammu Kashmir Peoples Mukthar Waza,
today visited Bijbehara and  held a condolence meet   in
view of 1993 Bijbehara massacre. In the meeting Makthar Waza paid
glowing tributes to martyrs  who fell to the bullet of
Indian Border Security Force (BSF) personnel in Bijbehara on October
22, 1993.Waza was accompanied by President Jammu Kashmir Mahez-i-
Azadie, Mohd Iqbal Mir
 He said that Kashmiri martyrs sacrificed their lives for a sacred
cause and the sacrifices would not be allowed to go waste. They
deplored that no action had been taken, so far, against the killers of
the innocent people despite passing of sixteen years.
“The sacrifices of 1993 and even after that are assets for the
movement and can never go waste. who sacrificed their lives will serve
as beacon light for the rest of us.”
He said that the ongoing movement would be taken to its logical
conclusion and appealed the international community to help resolve
the Kashmir dispute in accordance with Kashmiris’ aspirations and
relevant United Nations resolutions.

Srinagar, October 20, 2011: Executive Member of Hurriyat Conference
(M) and Chairman Jammu Kashmir peoples league, Mukthar Waza Thursday
expressed concern over the growing social evils and moral degradation
in the society and urged upon the people particularly parents to help
in checking the menace.

 “The moral degradation among the youth is one of the biggest
challenges which society is facing. Instead of blaming the western
countries, we need to do self-introspection and join hands and take
measures for checking the menace,” waza said in press statement

.In the statement issued from Srinagar waza said that social evils
like drug addiction are rising on alarming rate that could harm the
society in whole but Kashmir cause in particular.
“For a single benefit we are destroying whole society, crores of
rupees are being spent on drugs and by this we are destroying our own
economy as well as our future of children.” Adding that parents
especially religious scholars should come forward and educate the
youth about the abuses of drugs so that we can secure the future of
our children.
He said that unfortunately school going children are being engaged in
chars extraction in some areas of South Kashmir besides cultivating
bung on thousands Kanals of land.
He appealed the parents, senior citizens and especially religious
scholars to come forward and halt the social evils vis-à-vis moral
degradation.
He maintained that for the peaceful resolution of Kashmir issue a
healthy and socially and morally strong society is much more needed.

PL urges world community to focus on Kashmir



 


Srinagar, October 15: The APHC leader and Chairman of Jammu Kashmir Peoples League, Mukhtar Ahmad Waza while addressing party workers at Islamabad said that the amicable solution to the Kashmir dispute was a must for bringing permanent peace in South Asia. He appealed international community to break its silence on Kashmir to come forward for a resolution of the Kashmir issue so that the struggle of the Kashmiris bears fruit.

Mukhtar Waza strongly condemned continued human rights violations committed by Indian troops and said that New Delhi could not suppress the ongoing freedom movement by using brute force against the people of Kashmir. He called upon the world community, Asian watch and international human rights organizations to put pressure on India to halt massive human rights violations in Kashmir and resolve the long-standing Kashmir dispute in accordance with aspirations of Kashmiris. He added that Kashmir cannot be solved by a miracle, but the leaderships in India and Pakistan will have to come up with concrete initiatives, and the international community will have to mount pressure on both countries in view of the seriousness of the issue.

Peoples League paid a glowing tribute on 18th Martyrdom Anniversary of two brothers shaheed Nazir Ahmad Dar and Hillal Ahmad Dar of Soura Awantabhawan, Mukhtar Ah Waza.


Senior hurriyet leader and acting chairman of peoples league has paid glowing tributes to  two brothers of soura Awantabhawan namely Nazir Ahmad Dar and Hillal Ahmad Dar they were  arrested by the Indian  bsf 86 batailion and killed in custody on  octember 12 1993 they were the basic members of peoples league A thread bare discussion was made    Peoples League chaired by Mukhtar Waza, and attented by senior pl leaders Farooq Ah Dar, Mohd Maqbool Sofi, Imtiyaz Ahmad Reshi, GH Nabi Waseem Gulzar Ahmad Katju, AND Gh Jeelani AND FAYAZ SARNAL..Waza said that the sacrifices of Kashmiri martyrs would not be allowed to go waste and their mission would be taken to its logical conclusion. While speaking in the colloquium senior Hurriyat Leader and Acting Chairman Jammu Kashmir Peoples League, Mukhtar Ahmad Waza said that Kashmiri martyrs centre-stagedKashmir dispute at the international level. He reiterated the pledge to continue the liberation struggle, despite all odds.
  "Kashmir is the core issue between the two nuclear powers of the region. If the issue is not included in the agenda and there is no positive headway for its resolution, the talks are bound to fail," Waza alleged.
 “Right from 1947,India has been trying to suppress the voice of Kashmiris by force. But neither they succeeded in the past, nor they would in future,” he added. Waza warned that New Delhi was pushing Kashmiris towards violent revolution. “Off late instead of making the atmosphere conducive for talks, troops have let loose a reign of terror across the State. If immediate measures are not taken by the government of india, we can see resurgence of violence in Kashmir. It will be more violent and aggressive than we have seen in the past,” he said. JKPL vehemently condemns pampore youths death .


Senior APHC Leader and   Chairman of Jammu Kashmir Peoples League, Mukhtar Ahmad Waza in an statement has vehemently condemned the death of   innocent youthnamely  muzaffer ahmad Mir of pampore by the indiscriminate firing of paramilitary CRPF troopers on peaceful protesters  on last year 2010 protests.He was injured by forces last year unfortunately he finally scumbles his injuries and another youth scores in martyrs list   Wazahas paid glowing tributes to the slain youth and said that Government of India has given a free hand to its troops in Kashmir for carrying out the genocide of people. But these despicable and barbaric tactics won’t deter the resolve of Kashmiris and they will fight till they achieve inalienable right of self determination. Wazaurged the pro-freedom leadership to forge greater unity among its ranks to defeat the nefarious designs of India to suppress the liberation movement. Waza reiterated that the international media has taken a serious notice of the ongoing struggle which augurs well for the ultimate success and added that at this critical juncture cohesion and single-mindedness are very important. APHC AND PEOPLES LEAGUE MEETING WAS MANAGED AT SAME TIME AT HURRIYET OFFICE MUKHTAR AHMAD WAZA


Today aphc meeting was made at hurriyet office chaired by its chairman Dr Mirwaiz Omer Farooq and attented by exicutive members Prof Ab Gani Bhat,Mukhtar ah waza,Billal Gani lone, Molana Tairi and others Gernal councell leaders were also present namely Mannan Bukhari,Ab Rashid hakeem,Mohd Yusuf Nakash, M m sofi Faroop ah dar and others. DENMARK FORIENG POLICY MEETS APHC LEADERS AT RAJBAGH.

Mean while senior hurriyet leader and chairman pl  Mukhtar Ah Waza said that non kashmiri man from kerala  is saying to residential kashmiri to show identicard in our home town we are treated as slaves Waza said history is very cruel  and we have faced one lakh fifty thousands innocent kashmiri  dead bodies which were killed by forces our peaceful struggle is being crushed  with force our youth are being pushed to wall, tortured  and detained in jails .prof said, kashmiris were the principal party to the dispute and peace and stability in subcontinent would remain dream until the k issue was resolved.spokesman pl imtiyaz reshi.

Peoples League observes its 37th founding day

An extra ordinary meeting of Jammu Kashmir Peoples League was convened at   District srinagar which was chaired by Executive Member of APHC and party’s   Chairman Mukhtar Ahmad Waza. In the meeting a threadbare discussion was held on the current situation.
It is pertinent to mention that Jammu Kashmir Peoples league has been launched in 3rd October 1974 to give vent to the resistance movement by adopting the mode of political activism in terms of non-violence to press the demand of right to self determination in accordance with the UN resolutions which are the genesis of bonafide demand of common stock of people living in all the fours of Jammu Kashmir spread over an area of 2,22,236 Sq. kms along with some expatriates. Peoples League from its day of inception is struggling to protect the cultural ethos of Kashmiris for which they identified world over for the peculiarity and party has always raised voice against moral degradation moreover prepare youth for cultural crossfire to remain agile, vigilant and meticulous. Peoples League believes in the fact that will allow the winds of modernization to enter the home of Kashmiris but not at the cost of their existence and identity. Mukhtar Waza while addressing the meeting said that Peoples League always stressed for developing scientific political approach for the ongoing resistance movement and the struggle will continue till to the cherished goal. Waza said that peoples league believe that meaningful talks only can help resolve the dispute and are ready to take the process to its logical end and warns that any delay in resolution of the Kashmir dispute could have serious repercussions. “If India and Pakistan keep talking only with each other, they can’t achieve any breakthrough. Kashmiris have borne the brunt of animosity between them. They are the principal party to the dispute and the two countries have to talk to them to achieve a lasting and amicable solution,” Waza said.

Waza also appeals to the civilized world to play role and impress upon India to settle the dispute by granting right to self-determination to the people through referendum under the auspices of the UN. A resolution was also passed by pl on this occasion . waza appealed to all fractions of pl who are stand alone waza said it is time to unite under one banner for sake of our martyrs . pl clears pl is main party of hurriyet and hurryet program is pl program.
Meanwhile  spokesman pl imtiyaz reshi said “Our struggle is not against any nation, tribe, and religion or against the sovereignty of any country. But our struggle is the struggle for our rights”, adding “Kashmir movement does not belong to any particular individual. This movement belongs to the people of Jammu Kashmir and represents their wishes and aspirations.” He maintained that Martyrs are the precious assests of out nation (Kashmiris) who are our real heroes and their mission shall be carry forward till to the logical end come what may.
It is worth to mention that the meeting was attended by high profile intellectuals of the society besides party’s General Secretary Mohammad Ashraf Sofi, chief organizer Farooq Ahmad Dar, Mohd Maqbool sofi, Gh Nabi Waseem, Gulzar Ahmad Katju, Haji Qadoos  senior Peoples league leaders.
