Srinagar, Jan 30:  Continuing with their weekly protest programme, senior hurriyat leaders including head of hurriyat’s Public contact cell, Zaffar Akbar Bhat, head of public awareness Cell Javaid Ahmad Mir, Syed Bashir Andrabi,SPOKESPERSON JK PEOLES LEAGUE  Imtiyaz Reshi, peoples league Jaffer Kashmiri  ,Molvi Ab Rashid and dozens of other held a protest demonstration in Srinagar against the recent army’s court martial verdict whereby it exonerated the accused army men involved in the Pathribal fake encounter.

During the protest, the leaders, along with dozens of activists, demanded revocation of AFSPA, PSA other draconian laws, end of continuous human rights violations, and release of all political prisoners incarcerated in Jails.

Senior hurriyat leaders   said that it was highly regrettable that world was insensitive towards the sufferings of Kashmiris. He said by giving clean chit to army personnel involved in the pathribal fake encounter, the hurriyat stands vindicated that Kashmir is run by the army and there was no regard for justice and humanity in the conflict torn land.

Bhat said APHC would continue to raise its voice against AFSPA and other draconian laws, adding, hurriyat would also continue to strive for the resolution of Kashmir according to the wishes and aspirations of Kashmiris. He said the lingering Kashmir dispute poses constant threat to peace in South Asia and the world at large.

Meanwhile, the leaders have stressed upon the people to observe strike on January 31, Friday to protest against the human rights violations and demand the revocation of AFSPA and other black laws in Kashmir.

Senior APHC leader and Jammu Kashmir people’s league Chairman, Mukhtar Ahmad Waza today visited Pulwama district of South Kashmir and addressed a high level party meeting of district representatives and leaders. During the meeting Waza expressed heartfelt condolences and sympathy with the family party leader Parvez Ahmad Dar whose father passed away before few days. Party chairman along with leaders including Ghulam Ahmad Mir, Eng Fayaz Ahmad, Mohmmad Maqbool Ellahi and others visited the bereaved family.

Earlier addressing workers and party leaders in Pulwama, Waza urged people of the valley to observe a complete shutdown tomorrow on Friday against the Army’s self-styled verdict on Pathribal fake encounter.

Waza said that APHC has lareday defined it ‘murder of Justice by the sword of AFSPA’ and hence it is appropriate to say that India and its army has always murdered the justice by its powerful laws and military might, ‘but they never succeed in sabotaging the movement for Kashmiri innocent people who have laid down their lives for securing their birth right ‘right to self determination’. Srinagar, Jan 29: In view of the recent army verdict giving clean chit to its men in Pathribal Fake encounter case, All Parties Hurriyat Conference organized a one day seminar at its headquarters Moulana Mohamamd Abbas Ansari today convened a seminar titled “Murder of Justice by the sword of AFSPA”

Senior hurriyat leader and former Chairman Moulana Mohammad Abbas Ansari presided over the seminar. The other senior leaders present in the seminar included Prof Abdul Gani Bhat, Bilal Gani Lone, Musadiq Adil, Mukhtar Ahmad Waza, Abdul Majid Banday, Agha Syed Hassan Al Mujtaba, Ghulam Mohammad Nagoo, Imtiyaz Reshi, Moulana M. S Rehman Shamas. Besideas Zaffar Akbar Bhat, Hilal Ahmad War Javed Ahmad Mir, Abdul Manan Bukhari, former chairman of Bar Association, Nazir Ahmad Ronga and Abdul Majid Banday addressed the gathering in the seminar.

On the occasion, hurriyat passed the following resolutions;

1.       That the people of Kashmiri would continue their struggle against the repression and oppression at every level with full resolve. Kashmiris would continue to resist the draconian laws by virtue of which they are being repressed by the occupation. Reiterating that they would bring all of their political, diplomatic and legal resources to confront such laws, APHC said it would take serious steps for the abrogation of black laws.

2.       Terming Pathribal incident as barbarous and inhuman, the resolution resolved Kashmiris cannot be coerced to surrender from their stand. It further stressed that accused in the Pathribal case should be punished as per the rules of international code of law and justice.

3.       The main cause of gross human rights violation is the dreaded military occupation of Kashmir who are breaching all the moral, political and social values of Kashmiris. Till Kashmir issue is not resolved, people will continue to fight for the right to self determination

 Senior lawyers, Advocate Nazir Ahmad Ronga, and Abdul Majid Banday said AFPSA gives license to troopers to kill people at will and there was a need to start a campaign on political and legal level to end this situation.

In his presidential address, Moulana Mohammad Abbas Ansari said that Kashmir issue should be solved according to the pending UN resolutions or though tripartite dialogue. He said for that to happen it was compulsory to create conducive atmosphere by taking CBM’s like demilitarization and revocation of AFPSA and other black laws. 

On jan 31, 2014, APHC has appealed people to observe strike and organize peaceful gatherings to protest against the AFSPA and other draconian laws imposed in Kashmir.

Jammu Kashmir Peoples League, a constituent of the All Parties Hurriyat Conference, today  has appealed the people to observe India’s Republic Day as black day.

Srinagar, January 24:

Senior APHC leader and Jammu Kashmir People’s league Chairman while strongly condemning the Indian Army’s move to prove themselves as innocent before the international community by closing the fake Pathribal encounter in which they killed five innocents on March 25 in year 2000.

Waza in a statement said that by closing the case, India and its Army got exposed before the world community as the Country’s top investigative agency CBI in Year 2007 has already indicted five personnel of Indian army in the killings and has also described it as “cold blooded murder”.

He said that world community that being deceived by India that peace prevails in Kashmir, must take note of the crimes which Indian army did since 1947.

Waza said that People of Jammu and Kashmir have never any kind of humanity or Justice from government of India or from its Army as Indian army has crossed all the limits in violating the human rights in Kashmir and Indian itself is using Rape, enforced disappearances, killings, tourchers, abduction and massacres to sabotage the ongoing peaceful movement of Kashmiri people.

“Ever since we have demanded that international crime tribunal must be setup in Kashmir to prosecute Indian army and state collaborators, otherwise it is impossible to get the justice from morally corrupt Indian judiciary system.” Waza maintained, urging international community to help Kashmiris nation in getting birth right ‘right to self determination’.

Earlier, People’s League Chairman along with Nazir Ahmad Khan, Fayaz Ahmad Bhat and other party leaders visited the family of martyred youth Javid Ahmad Salfi at Bulbul Novgam and paid glowing tributes to the youth who was martyred by Indian troops during a siege and search operation in Qazigund area.

Waza addressing a gathering said that martyred was a noble soul of this soil who has made remarkable sacrifices before he achieved martyrdom.

they have still deprived kashmiris from basic right ‘right to self
determination’ after passing two decades.
Addressing a party meeting here Waza Said that from 1947 to till date
Indian armed forces have done serial massacres in the valley and have
killed thousands of innocent people.
“ Indian security agencies have every time killed people in Kashmir,
gang raped our daughter like in Konan Poshpora, Shopian and yet no one
was punished involved in those worst kind of human rights violations.”
Waza said, adding these incidents has uncovered the cruel,
undemocratic face of Indian at international level
He said that more than 52 persons were martyred and 250 others injured
in the firing by forces in January 21, 1990, at Gaw Kadal here. “The
Gaw Kadal massacre was intentional and security forces deliberately
killed people by bullets and put afire the residential houses and
shops as they did in Sopore, Handwara and Kupwara,” said Waza, urging
the international human rights organizations to set up an
international independent tribunal to probe the serial massacres of
January 1990 including Gawkadal Massacre so that the conspirators be
unmasked and punished under the international humanitarian law.
He castigated Indian authorities for celebrating anniversary of
constitution here in Kashmir by saying that they are continuously
depriving kashmiris from their birth right ‘right to self
determination’ for which India’s first Prime Minister Pt. Jawahar Lal
Nehur made commitment with the people of Jammu and Kashmir in Lal
Chowk Srinagar. He said besides granting people their birth right,
government killed people and security forces got involved in worst
kind of rights violations in the valley.
Mukhtar Waza maintained that unfortunately, the people of Jammu and
Kashmir were still kept deprived of right to self-determination and
the promises made with them at international level were not fulfilled.
“The authorities cannot suppress the Kashmiris’ liberation struggle
through use of brute force,” he added. Waza said that the acts of
Indian state terrorism perpetrated against innocent Kashmiris were
aimed at silencing their just voice for right to self-determination,
but the people of Jammu and Kashmir will continue their struggle for
securing right to self-determination till its logical end.

Waza addressed Rasmi Chaharum gathering of deceased party activist in Islamabad

Srinagar, January 18:

Chairman Jammu and Kashmir People’s league, Mukhtar Ahmad Waza today addressed Rasmi Chaharum gathering of deceased party activist Abdul Rashid Khan, who passed away before few days. Senior party leaders and activists including, Mohd Aashraf Sofi, Ghulam Qadir Rah, Imtiyaz Ahmad Reshi, Nazir Ahmad Khan, Jaffer Kashmiri and several others attended the mourning function of deceased party activist who had been a victim of India’s oppression and spend his precious years of age in jail along with his brother Nazir Ahmad Khan.

Addressing the gathering waza paid rich tributes to deceased activist and said party will continue to remember him for his role that he played in the ongoing freedom struggle.

“Everyone has to leave this cosmetic and materialistic world but on each passing day a dead body leaves a lesson for us which we need to implement in our lives. Today our party activist isn’t with us but the role he played during his life time will force us and our nation to remember along with martyrs of Kashmir.” Waza said.

He said that India’s ongoing oppression aimed to curb the freedom struggle of Kashmiri people hasn’t only affected a particular class each and every single person of this nation have got effected and continues to effect by worst ever kind of oppression which India is perpetrating here in Kashmir through his over eight lakh deployed troops.

Waza said people of Jammu and Kashmir have given sacrifices for a particular cause and we will continue till we get freedom from Indian bondage. He appealed both the countries to come down at a consensus and by involving the Kashmiri into talks, resolve the dispute which guarantees peace and prosperity of whole south Asian region.
