Don’t involve bureaucracy in Talks: Waza to Indo-Pak
World powers must play role in guaranteeing peace and stability in South Asia.

Urging world community to play its role in resolving the decades old
Kashmir Conflict according to aspirations and wishes of Kashmiri
people peacefully,ACCORDING TO THE SPOKESPERSON JKPL imtiyaz reshi Senior APHC leader and Jammu Kashmir People’s
League Chairman, Mukhtar Ahmad Waza today said that involving
bureaucracy in Indo-Pak dialogue process will yield negative results
for both the countries.
Addressing a gathering after Friday prayers in Wanpoh area of Kulgam
district, Waza said that peace and stability in South Asian region
can’t be guaranteed without the peaceful resolution of Kashmir issue.
“Kashmir conflict is the main issue which can guarantee peace and
stability in South Asia as the countries involved in the conflict are
heavily nuclear armed and in case of war both the countries will not
get vanished from the world but will also destroy the whole
sub-continent as well as will affect the world peace.” Waza said.
He urged upon world powers to play its role in resolving the conflict
and press both the countries for meaningful, credible and
result-oriented dialogue process.
Criticizing involvement of bureaucracy in to ongoing talks between
India Pakistan, Waza said that sectary level talks will not yield any
result as bureaucracy of both countries is the main hurdle in
resolving the dispute. “If both the countries are serious for Kashmir
settlement then political leadership of both the countries must come
forward while as political leadership of Kashmir must be involved for
making dialogue process result-oriented.” Waza said.
He appealed world community to shun its dual policy over the issue and
help in resolving the dispute according to the UN resolutions.
Meanwhile Mukhtar Ahmad Waza expressed sympathy and solidarity with
the family of martyr Prof. Abdul Waheed over the sad demise of their
mother. Waza also paid glowing tributes to martyr Prof. Abdul Waheed
and prayed for the deceased soul....

Appealing United Nations to setup crime tribunal according to
international standards in Kashmir for prosecuting the armed forces
involved in perpetrating genocides and crimes against women, Jammu
Kashmir people’s League Chairman, Mukhtar Ahmad Waza Thursday paid
glowing tributes to Asia and Nelofar on their 5th martyrdom
anniversary.
Mukhtar Ahmad Waza, who visited shopian today, was accompanied by
senior party leaders  In bid to pay homage to Asiya and Neelofer on their anniversaries, a high level hurriyat delegation including Mukhtar Ahmad Waza, , Hakim abdul Rahid, Imtiyaz Ahmad reshi, Syed Bashir Andrabi,  Ghulam Qadir Rah,    Jaffer Kashmiri,

Ghulam Ahmad Mir, Zulfi Masood, Shabir Ahmad and
  Adnan Kashmiri, Mohammad Abbas and others visited Shopian to offer solidarity and sympathy with the families of the victims.
During the session, the hurriyat leaders including Mukhtar Waza and Hakim Abdul Rashid paid tributes to Asiya, Neelofer and thousands of Kashmiris who became victims of Indian army's brutal actions.

  They participated in the prayer meet and paid glowing
tributes to the martyred daughters of the nation.
Locals along with pro-freedom leadership oraganized a rally from
Batagund area of the twon to main general bus stand. Addressing the
rally in the twon, Waza said that from the last over seven decades
India is using rape an instrument to crush the freedom sentiment of
people of Jammu and Kashmir but failed as the people never neither
succumbed nor will succumb before military might of oppressor.
He said that shopian tragedy is another black page in the history of
Kashmir like Kunon Poshpora and the tragedy was a grave crime against
the joint conscience of people of Jammu and Kashmir.
Waza said that the people of state will continue to strive for their
basic right ‘right to self determination ‘ till they secure it and
will never forget the sacrifices of its martyrs. He appealed people to
reject India’s anti-freedom policies and agenda.
He blamed India for shielding the culprits involved the double rape
and murder of Asia and Nelofar and said that it shame on India’s part
that perpetrators of Shopian tragedy are roaming free even after four
years besides Justice Muzaffar Jan (Retd) in his July 2009 report,
based on scientific and testimonial evidence, confirms rape and
murder.
He urged United Nations to establish international crimes tribunal in
Kashmir for prosecuting the armed forces involved in perpetrating
genocide against women in Kashmir particularly shopian tragedy.
Waza said that sacrifices of martyrs will not allowed to go waste and
the ongoing freedom struggle will be taken to its logical conclusion.
He also appealed indo-pak countries to prioritize the resolution of
Kashmir issue which is the root cause of confrontation between the two
nuclear armed countries.

Javaid mir, Imtiyaz Reshi,Rashid Hakeem,Jaffer Kashmiri and others stage a protest demonstration in front of press enclave.

Srinagar, May 27: All Parties Hurriyat Conference (APHC) has appealed the international community and human rights organizations to play their role in ending rights violations in Kashmir.



In view of the World International Disappearance Week, hurriyat leaders led by Javaid Ahmad Mir, Imtiyaz Ahmad Reshi, Hakeem Abdul Rashid, Sufi Mushtaq , Bashir Andrabi, Jaffer Kashmiri, Advocat Abdul Ahad Qadri and others staged peaceful demonstration at Press Enclace Lal Chowk, Srinagar. The leaders demanded international community to press India for finding the whereabouts of thousands of Kashmiri youth who were subjected to enforced disappearance and about the identification of those who are buried in the unmarked graves.



Senior hurriyat leader, Javaid Ahmad Mir and spokesperson jkpl Imtiyaz Reshi stated that hundreds of relatives of disappeared persons were still waiting to have a look of their missing wards.



The leaders on the occasion expressed solidarity with the family of Simran who was killed during an explosion at Tosa Maidan. The leaders also demanded to probe in the double murder case of Asiya and Nelofar of Shopian besides calling for demilitarization of Tosa Maidan. They stated the silence of international community was leading to sufferings of people.



Meanwhile, hurriyat has strongly condemned the dismissal orders of President of Kashmir Doctors Association, Nissar-ul-Hassan by the state authorities. The spokesman while describing the step as dictatorial, stated that it was a cause of concern that an innocent doctor was dismissed from his services for no fault.

JKPL paid glowing tributes to Khaleel-ur-Rehman on his martyrdom anniversary

Jammu and Kashmir Peoples League (JKPL) has paid glowing tributes to
its leader Khalil-ur-Rehman on his 20th martyrdom anniversary.
A high level meeting of party leaders and activists was conveyed by
party Chairman Mukhtar Ahmad Waza in Srinagar today to remember the
great martyr who had played vital role in the ongoing freedom
movement. Besides Chairman Mukhtar Ahmad Waza, meeting was attended by
Party Vice Chairman Nazir Ahmad Khan, General Sectry Mohd Ashraf Viad,
Ghulam Qadir Rah, chief spokes person Imtiyaz Ahmad Reshi, Jaffer Kashmiri, Ghulam Ahmad
Mir, Shakeel-ul-Rehman,Tahoor Ahmad Sidiqi, Shabir Ahmad and others.
During the meeting, participants remembered the martyr and said that
the role he played in the ongoing freedom movement as General Sectary
of JKPL is of vital significance and can’t be ignored.
Party Chairman, Mukhtar Ahmad Waza on the occasion while addressing
the party meeting paid glowing tributes to the martyr and said that
the sacrifices of Kashmiri martyrs would not be allowed to go waste
and their mission would be accomplished at all costs. He said
Khalil-ur-Rehman being highly qualified laid down his precious life
for the peaceful resolution of Kashmir issue and hence the martyr’s
mission needs to be safeguarding on every level.
“Being M.A , LLB Khalil-ur-Rehman shab had continued his profession
and might have earned in croces and lakhs but he laid down his life
for the future of Kashmir. He was a strong advocate of resolution of
Kashmir issue and during his political career he had enough worked for
its resolution according to whishes and aspirations of Kashmiri
people.” Waza said.
Mukhtar Ahmad Waza also paid glowing tributes to two youths Zubair
Ahmad of Nowpora Frisal and Ishfaq Ahmad of Chaklo Shpoian, who were
martyred by Indian troops yesterday during a siege and search
operation.
Meanwhile reacting on the development of Pakistan Prime Minister’s
participation in Narendra Modi’s swearing-in ceremony, Mukhtar Ahmad
Waza has appealed both the countries to prioritize Kashmir issue
during the talks and take it to another level by including the
Pro-freedom leadership into the process.
India Pakistan must concentrate on Kashmir issue and apart from
diplomatic steps Indian needs show to seriousness by releasing the
political detainees lashing in Indian jails and revoking the draconian
laws in Kashmir.
Khalil-ur-Rehman was arrested by the Indian troops and killed in
custody in 1994...

NewIndian government must adopt realistic approach for resolving Kashmirdispute: Waza

According to the spokesperson jkpl imtiyaz Reshi Jammu and kashmir People’s League Chairman Mukhtar Ahmad Waza on Friday asked India’s designated Prime Minister Narendra Modi to adopt realistic approach for resolving the Kashmir dispute according to the aspirations and wishes of Kashmiri people.
Addressing Friday prayers in Verinag area of South Kashmir’s Islamabad district Waza said, “Since from decades now India has never showed any kind of seriousness in the talks which took place between the two countries-India and Pakistan and neither had shun its policy of rigidity, So this time the New Delhi’s New Government which most likely Narendra Modi will lead, must adopt realistic approach for finding a durable solution of Kashmir dispute.”
He said that India’s rigid policy has ever since created hurdles in resolving the Kashmir dispute, which has endangered the peace and stability of whole south Asian region besides had threatened the economic prosperity of the region, as the Kashmir conflict is now a nuclear flash point in the region.
Waza said that policy of oppression and suppression has never got successful in sabotaging the ongoing freedom struggle but people of Jammu and Kashmir have braved it and will continue till they achieve their goal for which they have offered sacrifices.
He appealed International community to press India’s new government for holding meaningful talks with Pakistan and Pro-freedom leadership of Kashmir for resolving the age old conflict.
Waza also condemned fresh arrest spree in Kashmir valley and said that puppet authorities and rulers have gone frustrated due to exemplary boycott of recently concluded Indian parliamentary elections.

Kick off credible dialogue process for K-Solution from swearing-in
ceremony, Waza appeals Modi,

Welcoming newly elected Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s
invitation to Pakistan Prime Minister, Nawaz Sharif for his
swearing-in ceremony, Jammu and Kashmir People’s League Chairman,
Mukhtar Ahmad Waza on Thursday appealed prime ministers of Indo-Pak
countries to start a credible and resulted oriented dialogue process
for the peaceful resolution of Kashmir issue from the stage of
swearing-in ceremony.
In a statement today, Waza hoped that new Indian government led by
Narendra Modi would start a sustained dialogue process with Pakistan
and Kashmir leadership for the resolution of Kashmir and other issues
responsible for the skirmish between the two neighboring countries.
Waza also pinned hope with the Indian prime minister that he will
maintain good relationship with Pakistan in the interests of global
peace. He said that Modi’s invitation to Sharief is a welcome gesture
and this should continue in the future as well, as the cordial
relations between Indo-Pak countries are in the interest of Kashmir
issue. He also hailed Pakistan Prime Minister Main Nawaz Sharief’s
response to the Indian prime minister’s invitation and hoped that both
the prime ministers will prioritize resolution of issues pertaining
between the countries and allow peace to prevail. He said that
indo-pak countries must start a result-oriented and meaningful
dialogue process for the early resolution of Kashmir issue as the
issue being a nuclear flash point has endangered the peace in whole
south Asian sub-continent.
Waza said that people of Jammu and Kashmir have suffered enough now
from the last over seven decades due to this unresolved dispute and it
is high time for both the countries to resolve the dispute by adopting
a futuristic and humanistic stand on Kashmir so that peace prevails
and economic prosperity of both countries remains ensured.
Mukhtar Ahmad Waza also condemned the arrest of Doctor’s Association
president and has demanded unconditional release of him and other
detained youth.
He also condemned the unwarranted arrest of a minor youth in Kanabal
Islamabad and use of tear smoke shells and other kind of brute force
on peaceful protesters demanding release of the youth.

Police while continuing its policy of oppression and suppression,
today arrested Jammu Kashmir people’s League Chairman, Mukhtar Ahmad
Waza in Khanabal area of Islamabad district when he along with his
party leaders and activists was leading the EidGah March from the
district.
Party Spokesman, Imtiyaz Ahmad Reshi condemned the police action and
said that Mukhtar Ahmad Waza along with Vice Chairman, Nazir Ahmad
Khan and Reyaz Ahmad were detained in DPL Islamabad. He said that
Party Chairman was leading the Eid Gah March rally from the district
as per APHC program, when he was stopped in Khanabal area of the
district.
Earlier, Jammu Kashmir People’s League leaders and activists marched
through various areas of Islamabad town and raised pro-Islam and
pro-freedom slogans. March rally started from the Kadipora Islamabad
and in Mattan Adda of the town, Party Chairman Mukhtar Ahmad Waza
addressed the gathering and paid glowing tributes to martyrs
particularly to Shaheed-e-Millat Mirwaiz Maulana Molvi Mohammad Farooq
on his 24th martyrdom anniversary and Shaheed-e-Hurriyat Abdul Gani
Lone on his 12th martyrdom anniversary. He also paid glorious homage
to 57 martyrs of Hawal on their martyrdom anniversaries.
Addressing the gathering, Waza wowed to carry the ongoing mission to
its logical end and said that martyrdom of martyrs will remain a
symbol of resistance.
He said that Kashmiri people were offering sacrifices for the
long-lasting and durable resolution of Kashmir issue and till it gets
resolved according to the aspirations and wishes of Kashmiri people,
we will not deter or scum under the indian military oppression.
Waza said that none of the freedom movement is world has got crushed
due to military oppression, so Indian must shun the policy of
oppression and must come forward for the early resolution of Kashmir
issue which can guarantee peace and prosperity in South Asian region.

People League delegation visited North Kashmir
Appeals people to participate in rally in view of Hafta Shouda

Islamabad, May 20: In connection with the Freedom Movement continuing
its public affair drive, a delegation of Jammu and Kashmir People’s
League on the directions of its chairman Mukhtar Ahmad Waza today
visited the North Kashmir’s Baramulla district. The delegation
comprised of its Spokesman Imtiyaz Ahmad Reshi, Political Advisor
Jaffar Kashmiri, Chief Coordinator Ghulam Muhammad Mir and others
dozens of senior Peoples League leaders.
On the occasion the delegation visit the house of  Parvaiz AhKallo and
Javaid Ah  who was injured during the clashes at Barmaulla on the eve
of Indian Parliamentary Elections. The delegation condemned the sheer
act of brutality by the police forces and expressed sympathies with
the affected family.
Imtiyaz Ahmad Reshi on the occasion said the Kashmir has been tuned a
big human rights violation graveyard. He urged the Human Rights
champions to take this matter with their respective government to make
some pressure on India to the stop the day to day Human Rights
Violation in Kashmir.
Meanwhile Mukhtar Ahmad Waza has appealed people of South Kashmir to
participate the rally to be held in tomorrow in view of Martyrs Week
called by All Parties Hurriyat Conference Chairman Mirwaiz Dr Molvi
Muhammad Umar Farooq.

“Police harassing people league activists in Kulgam, trying to implicate them in base less case” Waza 
Srinagar, May 17, 2014

According to the spokesperson jkpl Imtiyaz Reshi Jammu and Kashmir People’s league Chairman, Mukhtar Ahmad Waza today condemned the continuous harassment to its party activists in Kulgam district of South Kashmir and said that police is trying to implicate party activists in baseless cases.
Waza in a statement denounced harassing of party activists in Kulgam and Yaripora area and said that police action is intolerable and unacceptable.
Accomapnied by party leaders and activists including Nazir Ahmad Khan, District president Kulgam, Reyaz Ahmad, Ahmadullah and Zahid Zahoor, Waza visited several workers today in Kulgam district. On the occasion he said that puppet authorities and ruling mainstream parties have converted the whole state into a police state and armed forces have lashed a reign of terror just to curb the ongoing peaceful freedom movement in the state.
He said that police besides harassing the party activists, was demanding money from them and if they failed to pay they are being threatened to implicate in false cases. Waza appealed international community to take a strong of the police atrocities in Kashmir.
He said that India must shun the dual standards and must stop the armed forces atrocities in the valley. Waza said that hundreds of youths and pro-freedom leaders continue to remain in police detention, arrested before election drama, while as thousands continue to lash in inside and outside state jails.
Waza said boycotting sham polls is the right of oppressed Kashmir people but now India seems to have gone frustrated and is now using its military might to crush the freedom sentiment among the people of state by the policy of oppression and suppression. However, he said that neither People’s league has succumbed before Indian oppression nor it will.
He urged upon workers to continue working for ongoing freedom movement and impressed upon them to make the 21st May EidGah Chalo Program a success.

Mir Repeated that in 1988 pro freedom fighter leaders of Kashmir challenged the big democracy and K-movement was colored with the blood of freedom leaders and innocent people of Kashmir .History is witness that Indian political leaders from 1947 tried their best to muzzle the movement of Kashmir which is based on principles after 1975 the freedom leaders who raised the freedom slogans were rewarded by the name of Vagabonds by the ruling government of India it was that time Peoples league, mahazi Azadi, Islamic students league ,Islamic Jamati Talba,Awami Action Comities who raised the voice against illegal accord and in 1988 freedom leaders also struggle to internationalized this movement at global level.
Mir said we hope that Pakistan will give their Moral, Political, diplomatic and foreign support in future as he has already supported Kashmir cause and will pay a key role in solving K-issue and will convey India to accept the masters position and trilateral role of Kashmiri people.

Waza visited bereaved family of murdered lady in Kulgam, demands independent probe
Condemned use of brute force on peaceful protesters demanding probe 

Srinagar, May 16, 2014: Jammu and Kashmir People’s league Chairman, Mukhtar Ahmad Waza today visited the family of 25 years old pregnant lady whose dead body was found after 10 days by the locals in Mirbazar area of Kulgam district yesterday.
Waza accompanied by party senior leaders including Nazir Ahmad Khan, Master Gull Mohmmad, Ghulam Qadir Najar, Mohammad Yousf expressed sympathy and heartfelt condolences with the family of Sumira Jan and demanded swift action and independent probe into this heinous crime.
Addressing a gathering of monomers, Waza said that crime against Kashmiri women has increased due to the Kashmir conflict and it goes unnoticed on each day. Decrying the role of puppet authorities and state police, Mukhtar Ahmad Waza said it seems that crushing, curbing the freedom struggle is there only policy and agenda.
He denounced the use of brute force on family members of the deceased lady who were protesting yesterday and demanding punishment to culprits. Waza said that family members as well as residents of the area have no faith in the Indian judiciary system so it needs to be probed impartially and independently through independent international organization.
On the occasion raised pro-Islam and pro-freedom slogans and said that Indian authorities were directly responsible for the growing crime rate in the Kashmir as it goes unproved and justice to the victim families remains elusive.
Mukhtar Ahmad Waza meanwhile also expressed sympathy and solidarity with the family of Party spokesman, Imtiyaz Ahmad Reshi whose mother-in-law passed yesterday after a brief illness.

Waza paid tributes to Kashmir martyrs, appeals people to participate in Eidgah March

Jammu and Kashmir People’s League chairman Mukhtar Ahmad Waza today paid glowing tributes to Kashmir martyrs including ‘Shaheed-e-Millat’ Late Moulvi Muhammad Farroq & ‘Shaheed-e-Hurriyat’ Late Abdul Ghani Lone on their martyrdom anniversaries respectively. He also paid glowing tributes to Shaheed-e-Azimat Sheikh Abdul Aziz and Shaheed S.Hamid Wani
In a statement today Waza endorsed the Martyr’s week program of All Parties Hurriyat Conference (M) and has appealed common masses to join the Eid Gah march on 21ist of May. Waza also while giving final touch to the scheduled program in a meeting which was attended by Nazir Ahmad Khan, Mohd Ashraf Sofi and Fayaz Ahmad has stressed upon party leaders, workers and activist to work hard for ensuring maximum participation in the march. It is important to mention here that Mukhtar Ahmad Waza will lead the march from Islambad town to Srinagar martyr’s grave yard.
He said that remembering martyrs of nation who laid down their precious lives for freedom struggle during past decades is important for the freedom struggle as the morale of natives of an oppressed nation gets boosted by remembering the cause.
Appealing common masses of South Kashmir to participate in the Eid Gah March as it will be an eye opener for world community and through this even world community will be reminded that people of Jammu and Kashmir want peaceful resolution of Kashmir issue according to the resolutions passed in United Nations. He said that paying tributes to martyrs at martyr’s grave yard Srinagar will also help us in reminding the world community that Kashmiri people will continue to offer sacrifices till Kashmir issue gets resolved as per the aspirations and wishes of the people- who are suffering and braving the Indian military oppression and suppression since now from last several decades.
Meanwhile, Waza rejected Indian Prime minister’s special envoy and track two diplomat S K Lambah’s remarks on Kashmir and said that Kashmir was never a land dispute between the two countries. He said that people of the state have offered sacrifices for the right to ‘self determination’ and hence will continue to fight for securing till at any cost.

JKPL TODAY ORGANISED PROTEST DEMONSTRATION AGAINST ARRESTS OF YOUTHS IN Kashmir.Waza,Reshi.


Peoples league chairman Mukhtar Ahmad Waza along with spokesperson jkpl imtiyaz Reshi, Engineer Fayaz Ahmad , Master Mohmad Maqbool Dar,and others today organized protest demonstration at Tral south Kashmir against worst human rights violations by Indian Forces in Kashmir the protesters raises slogans against the arrests of youths use of pellet guns fake encounters brute forces used against peaceful protesters in valley. Leaders denounced the arrests of youths and pro-freedom leaders and activists, use of brute force on peaceful protesters during the day and said that policy of oppression and suppression will not work in future now.
“More the balloon you suppress more it will jump.” Waza said adding at this juncture people of Jammu and Kashmir will not allow the martyr’s mission to go waste but people will strive till it reaches to logical conclusion. Mukhtar Ahmad Waza has also sought intervention of human rights watch dogs to help in release of hundreds of arrested Youth and pro-freedom leaders.

Srinagar,   Jammu and Kashmir people’s league a constituent of today conveyed a day long party meeting in Srinagar in which party district heads participated and held detailed discussion on present situation of the conflict region. Meeting was chaired by senior hurriyat leader and chairman peoples league Mukhtar Ahmad Waza and attended by senior central council members include Gh Qadir Rah , Imtiyaz Ahmad Reshi, Jaffer kashmiri ,Shakeeul rehman ,Advocate Ab Ahad Qadri ,     ,Tahoor ahmad, roof Kashmiri ,Engineer Fayaz,  and dozens of pl workers

Party Chairman, Mukthar Ahmad waza briefed party leaders and activists about the present political situation of region and it was observed that party that has played an important role in internationalizing the decades old Kashmir issue.  

Party leaders and activists during the meeting expressed concern over the state terrorism under which police and other security agencies were arresting Youths on fake charges. They said that India can distract people from the freedom struggle through such brutal tact’s and said that they will continue to support Kashmir movement peacefully.

Chairman, Mukhtar Ahmad Waza, while addressing the meeting said that the freedom movement of Kashmir is at its important stage and stressed upon party workers, leaders and activists to intensify its activities and reach out to people who has laid their lives and property for the Kashmir freedom cause.
 


Waza stressed on activists and workers to work hard for the resolution of Kashmir issue and said that the party will intensified its activities in coming days. He expressed concern over the grave human rights violations done by the security forces in the territory and appealed visiting Amnesty international team to aware the world community about the ground situation of Kashmir. Mukthar Waza stressed upon workers to continue supporting the liberation struggle that is the ultimate aim of Hurriyat conference as well as JKPL.
 Waza said Kashmir was never the part of India it has its 5000 years history and there will be no compromise with the topography of Kashmir, Waza said we are not in hurry to accept any solution of k issue which will not be according to the aspirations of kashmiri people, one day India has to leave Kashmir.

World community must intervene in Kashmir issue on humanitarian grounds: Waza
Requests people to keep brotherhood alive, defy India’s ‘divide and rule’ policy
Denounced state oppression

Srinagar, May 9, 2014:
Jammu Kashmir People’s League Chairman, Mukhtar Ahmad Waza today appealed world community to intervene in Kashmir issue on humanitarian grounds so that innocent people of state get rid from the Indian military oppression.
Addressing a gathering after Friday here in Islamabad district, Waza denounced military operation and said that for boycotting Indian sham polls youth of the valley of being subjected to brute force while as frustrated Indian army is leaving no stone unturned to threat the people irrespective of age and gender.
He said that in tral which recorded zero percent voting during the elections, people especially youth are being harassed, detained and arrested. Terming harassing and arrested youth and pro-freedom leadership of the valley frustration of Indian troops and New Delhi’s appointed puppet rulers, Waza said that oppression and suppression can’t deter people of the state from securing their ineligible right ‘right to self determination’.
Waza also denounced the use of brutal force on youths and peaceful protesters in North Kashmir.
Taking a strong notice of reported clashes between few people in North Kashmir, waza appealed people show maturity and keep brotherhood alive and don’t let Indian designs to get succeed.
“Since years now, Indian under divide and rule strategy is trying to bifurcate the Kashmir society into groups but so we must stand united and defy their anti-freedom designs.” He said, adding those who voted must be made understand about the martyr’s mission through a peaceful policy and strategy.
Appealing world community’s intervention in Kashmir issue, Waza said, “it is obligatory for world community to help Kashmiris at this stage when we have given uncounted sacrifices and continue to bare the oppression of Indian military might.”
He said that it was astonishing to see that world community intervening in Kashmir like conflicts in the world for safeguarding their economic interests but keeping a criminal silence on Kashmir issue which hold key for peace and stability for south Asian. “Tell us how many years we (Kashmiris) have to bare the oppression of Indian military.” Waza while appealing world community’s intervention on humanitarian grounds
Waza demanded unconditional release of all arrested pro-freedom leaders and youths detained during staged sham polls in the valley.
Meanwhile according to spokesperson JKPL, Mukhtar Ahmad Waza soon after he was on way to home Police arrested Waza along with other party activists and place him some unknown destination.

People spoiled India’s anti-freedom movement policy, United Nations must act now
Denounced arrests, curbs, restrictions, use of brute forces on peaceful youth,

Jammu and Kashmir People’s League Chairman, Mukhtar Ahmad Waza today expressed satisfaction over the exemplary poll boycott of North Kashmir people and said Kashmir has now collectively spoiled the India’s anti-freedom movement policy.
In a statement, Waza said that braving the oppression of Indian army in every hook and corner of the North Kashmir, people showed their pro-freedom stand and boycotted the sham polls. “Besides army and other Indian forces beat up locals, thrashed them and forced them to come out and vote, people in North Kashmir espeacilly in Pattan, Baramullah, Palhalan, sopore and other areas observed complete shutdown and boycotted the sham polls. “ Waza said, adding after conducting these polls in Kashmir India was misleading the world community but this time world community must open eyes.
Waza said that United Nations must take a strong note of the aspirations and wishes of Kashmiri people which they expressed through rejecting these polls and must come forward to implement the resolutions which it had passed for the early resolution of Kashmir issue.
He denounced the arrests of youths and pro-freedom leaders and activists, use of brute force on peaceful protesters during the day and said that policy of oppression and suppression will not work in future now.
“More the balloon you suppress more it will jump.” Waza said adding at this juncture people of Jammu and Kashmir will not allow the martyr’s mission to go waste but people will strive till it reaches to logical conclusion. Mukhtar Ahmad Waza has also sought intervention of human rights watch dogs to help in release of hundreds of arrested Youth and pro-freedom leaders.

Javaid Mir along with Imtiyaz Reshi and jaffer Kashmiri expresses solidarity with injured youths by Indian security forces.
Senior hurriyat leader and jklf chairman Javaid Ahmad Mir,along with spokesperson jkpl Imtiyaz Ahmad Reshi and jaffer Kashmiri today visited the different hospitals SMHS ,bone and joint and soura institute to see the health condition of recently injured youths by the firing and use of pellet guns by Indian security forces .On this occasion leaders javaid Ahmad Mir and Imtiyaz Reshi expressed sympathies with the families of injured youths. Mir said, India is trying to muzzle the peaceful movement of Kashmiri people with military might and India has converted Kashmir in to a big prison leaders said after Srinagar and Islamabad people of Baramullah were subjected to suppression and arrests. Mir said black laws were imposed in Kashmir to suppress the freedom struggle to weaken the sentiments for movement. Leaders Said the new generation of Kashmir very well understands the political and armed machinations of state they are above the nations of fear and are filled with the spirit of liberty and will never accept the oppression they said whole world has acknowledged that Kashmir is an issue which has to be resolved in tripartite talks among India ,Pakistan and leadership of Kashmir. Besides deployment of armed forces in North Kashmir’s Baramullah district, a delegation of Jammu and Kashmir People’s League comprising Imtiyaz Ahmad Reshi, Jaffer Kashmiri, Shakeel-ul-Rahman and others visited Fatehgund area of the district and appealed people to stay away from the polls.
Addressing people at several places leaders said that elections can’t be substitute to right to self determination and urged people to show their love for the freedom struggle by boycotting the polls like people in South Kashmir and Srinagar rejected and boycotted.
They said that Barmullah is the land of great martyrs including of Shaheed Mohad Maqbool bhat, Shaheed Mohd Afzal Guru while as Jammu and Kashmir people’s league former chairman, Shaheed-e-Azemat Sheikh Abdul Aziz also achieved his martyrdom on this soil, so people must respect the sacrifices of martyrs by staying away from the polls and convey to India that people of Kashmir will not allow the sacrifices of martyrs to go waste. They said that party has always rejected the polls so will continue in future till Kashmir issue gets resolved according to aspirations and wishes of people.

JKPL Leaders Including Chairman Mukhtar Ahmad Waza arrested in Sopore, detained in Police station Mujgund peoples league continue poll boycott at Baramullah.
Srinagar, May 4, 2014:
Jammu and Kashmir people’s league chairman Mukhtar Ahmad Waza along with party senior leaders including Vice Chairman, Nazir Ahmad Khan, and General Sectary Mohd Ashraf Vaid were today arrested in Sopore. JKPL leaders were scheduled to visit several areas of Sopore and Baramullah in view of its election boycott campaign.
Party spokesman Imtiyaz Ahmad Reshi condemned the police action termed it with the frustration of puppet authorities and security forces. He said that leaders were arrested at Tarehzoo Sopre after a heavy contingent of police and CRPF stopped their vehicle in which they were travelling.
He said that they were harassed and shifted to at least four police stations in day. “Our Party Chairman, Mr Waza Shab along with Vice chairman Nazir Ahmad Khan and general sectary Mohd Ashraf Vaid were arrested in Traehzoo Sopore from there they were shifted to Amargad Police station, then to Putkha Police station and now have been detained in Police station Mujgund.”
Condemning the mass arrests of pro-freedom leaders and youths ahead of sham polls in Baramullah, Party spokesman said that India’s electioneering  game stands failed and it was better for India to come forward for the resolution of Kashmir issue other than implementing oppressive and repressive tact’s which can’t deter people of Kashmir to secure birth right ‘right to self determination’.

Meanwhile, party delegation comprising of senior leaders including Shakee-ul-Rehman, Imityaz Ahmad Reshi, Jaffer Kashmiri and Ghulam Qadir Rah visited several other areas of North Kashmir besides heavy deployment of Indian forces and distributed the anti-election literature. They appealed people to boycott the polls and India is misleading world community after conducting these sham polls in the state.
