Waza asks world to help trace missing persons, paid rich tributes to martyrs

Srinagar, August 30: Senior APHC leader and Jammu Kashmir peoples League Chairman Mukhtar Ahmad Waza while expressing the solidarity with the families of enforced disappeared persons, appealed to the world community to play its role in finding out whereabouts of thousands of innocent Kashmiris, gone missing in the custody of Indian troops.

Mukhtar Ahmad Waza who visited the families of several martyrs of Puwlama including family of martyred peoples league stalwart Khalil-ul-Rehman he was accompanied by peoples league spokesperson Imtiyaz Reshi and Engineer Fayaz Ahmad and paid glowing tributes to them. He said that martyred leader played significant role in the ongoing freedom struggle which can’t be ignored. He vowed to continue the peaceful freedom struggle till Kashmir gets resolved peacefully.

Addressing corner meetings, Waza expressed sympathy with the families of martyrs and enforced disappeared persons. He on the occasion of the International Day of the Disappeared, said that the world was observing the Day but in the Kashmir families of the disappeared persons were waiting for their near and dear ones.

He said that so far more than 10,000 Kashmiris had been subjected disappearance.

Waza said that said that the existence of massive unnamed graves was ample proof of the authorities’ heinous crimes.

He urged India to repeal all the black laws, which give unbridled powers to Indian troops to commit gross human rights violations with impunity.

He emphasized that withdrawal of the troops was a prerequisite to improve the rights situation in Kashmir...

Mukhtar Waza denounced Rajnath Singh’s statement, says war isn’t the solution
“Kashmir is political issue, needs political resolution”
Srinagar, August 29:
Senior APHC leader and Jammu Kashmir Peoples league Chairman, Mukhtar Ahmad Waza on Friday denounced the statement of Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh in which he (Rajnath Singh) had said that he had directed his armed forces to continue firing on Line of Control (LOC).
Accompanied by senior party leaders including Imtiyaz Ahmad Reshi and Er Fayaz Ahmad, Mukhtar Ahmad Waza while addressing, Friday prayers in Noorpora area of Tral in South Kashmir, said that the way Narendra Modi government is dealing with Kashmir issue will definitely have serious repercussions. He said that from cancelling of sectary level talks with Pakistan and now directing forces to continue firing on Line of Control can prove disastrous for whole of the south Asian region.
“Narendra Modi government has now picked up hard-line for Kashmir and Kashmiri which is evident from the fact that they ignored peaceful means by calling off the talks and now instead of trying to stop the LOC skirmish is fueling it by encouraging its forces to continue firing, which will surely sink the boat of whole South Asian.” Warned Mukhtar Ahmad Waza
He said that dialogue was the only way to move forward and hence both the countries must adopt it for strengthening the bilateral relations. “India and Pakistan can only prosper if they succeed in strengthening the bilateral relations which is only possible after the peaceful resolution of Kashmir conflict.” said, Waza.
 Waza said that Kashmir is a political problem and must be resolved through tripartite talks as bilateral talks have failed to yield results in the past. “War is not the solution, war can only bring disaster, so the ultimate solution of the problems lies in the dialogue process, hence both the countries along with genuine leadership of oppressed Kashmiri people must sit and negotiate for resolving the Kashmir dispute according to whishes and aspirations of Kashmiri people who have scarified their lives from past over six decades.” Mukhtar Ahmad Waza told gathering.
He said that people of Jammu and Kashmir will never allow the countries to confront each other in the state which has witness bloodshed and grave human rights violations perpetrated by Indian armed forces from past over 23 years, as the confrontation of nuclear armed countries was taking the precious lives of Kashmiri people on both sides of Line of Control (LOC).
Stressing on the unity of pro-freedom leadership and Kashmiri nation, Waza said, “At a time when new Delhi has once again started using military approach towards Kashmir issue, unity of pro-freedom leadership and nation is the need of the hour to confront the Indian anti-freedom movement polices and strategies.” Adding, Kashmiri nation is ready to face Indian government’s extremism.
He appealed people to stay away from so-called main stream politicians who are helping India in strengthening its illegal occupation over Kashmir.

Srinagar, August 28: APHC Thursday stressed upon the world community and international human rights organization to exert pressure on India to investigate thousands of enforced disappearances cases in Kashmir so as to bring the truth in public domain.





 In connection with the international day for enforced disappearances, senior Hurriyat leaders Zaffar Akbar Bhat, Javaid Ahmad Mir, Syed Salim Geelani, Hakim Abdul Rashid, Imtiyaz Reshi ,Yasmeen Raja, Sofi Mushtaq, Syed Bashir Andrabi along with the workers and activists staged a peaceful protest in solidarity with the families of the victims of enforced disappearances at Press colony Srinagar.

 Demanding the return of the victims of enforced disappearances, the leaders stated that more than 9 thousand people were picked up by the state whose fate was still not known. They further stated that more than 8000 unmarked graves have been found dotting the Kashmiri landscape, adding, it is was the moral duty of world community and international rights organization to demand the investigation into such cases to know the fate of the victims of enforced disappearances.

 Senior Hurriyat leader Zaffar Akbar Bhat and other leaders told media that Kashmiris want to know the fate of victims of enforced disappearances and also want thorough probe into the unmarked graves to know who is buried underground. The leaders stated that the main aim of the protest was to divert the attention of the world community towards those families who were picked by the government forces and whose families are still waiting for their return despite years have passed. They said parents of many victims have passed away waiting for the return of their sons.

 Asserting that human rights violation continues in Kashmir, Zaffar Akbar Bhat and other leaders stated that militarization of Kashmir continues and force is employed to suppress the prevalent political demand, Kashmiris continue to be languishing in jails as political prisoners, and powers under black laws continue to rest with the forces which empower them to kill on will. They stated that it was highly a cause of concern that UN continues to watch all this happening in silence...

JKPL pays tributes to martyr Umar Qayoom, martyrs of 2010
Srinagar, August 25:
On the directions of Jammu Kashmir Peoples league Chairman Mukhtar Ahmad Waza, a delegation of the party lead by Imtiyaz Ahmad Reshi today visited the family of martyred teenager Umar Qayoom at Soura in Srinagar and paid glowing tributes to him and martyrs of 2010, who during peaceful anti-India demonstrations faced bullets of Indian military and laid down their precious lives for the just cause of freedom from Indian bondage. Besides Imtiyaz Reshi Hurriyat leaders javaid ahmad mir and Hakeem Ab Rashid were also present on this occasion who speaks.
Mukhtar Ahmad Waza telephonically the gathering which assembled to remember the martyred teenager on his martyrdom anniversary and said that despite all odds Kashmiri nation has to accomplish the mission of martyrs. He said that martyrs especially the sacrifices given by innocent children and women will not be allowed to go waste. Waza urged Kashmiri nation to safeguard the mission of martyrs by thwarting the anti-freedom policies of India and its military forces besides reaming determinant towards the freedom struggle.
On the occasion, Imtiyaz Ahmad Reshi who was accompanied by Tahoor Ahmad Sidqi and Gulam Ahmad paid rich tributes to the martyred teenaged innocent boy and that the mission of martyrs will be taken to its logical conclusion. He expressed sympathy and solidarity with the family on behalf of Party chairman and Party members and said that Indian authorities have curbed the movement of Mukhtar Ahmad Waza due which he could not attend the martyrdom anniversary of the martyr.
Reshi said world community has the acknowledged the role played by our martyrs in internationalizing the genuine freedom struggle of Kashmiri nation against the India’s illegal occupation and said that it is because of the sacrifices of our martyrs that the world community has started showing seriousness in resolving the conflict, However he said that final and peaceful resolution of Kashmir needs mush more seriousness, courage of world community for ensuring peaceful and stable south Asian region...

Waza urges SAARC nations to play effective role in Kashmir resolution

Srinagar, August 22, 2014

Senior APHC leader and Jammu Kashmir Peoples League Chairman Mukhtar Ahmad Waza on Friday urged SAARC nations to play effective role in resolving the Kashmir conflict which has a nuclear flash point in the whole south Asian region besides primary reason of confrontation between the two nuclear armed countries-India and Pakistan.

Addressing Friday congregations in Islamabad town, Waza said that the SAARC is responsible to resolve the regional issues of the region for ensuring its peace and stability besides economic prosperity, so without the peaceful resolution of Kashmir conflict peace, stability and economic prosperity can’t be guaranteed in the South Asian region.

He said that the SAARC countries can’t obtain their sole objective of improving the living conditions of their people nor can promote regional cooperation for the other prime objectives till they resolve the decades old Kashmir conflict which has not only endangered the peace in the region but its existence too. He said that peace in South Asia would remain elusive unless Kashmir dispute was resolved in accordance with the wishes and aspirations of people of the state. He emphasized that without resolving the long standing dispute the dream of SAARC countries could not be materialized, therefore to make it a dynamic and vibrant forum, conflict resolutions was highly indispensable.

He urged SAARC countries to play effective role in Kashmir resolution by pressurizing Indo-Pak countries to resume the tripartite talks for the long-lasting and peaceful resolution of Kashmir dispute. He said that people of Jammu and Kashmir have rendered uncounted sacrifices for the final resolution of Kashmir issue and will continue to offer till the mission of martyrs reaches to its logical conclusion.

He urged naïve Kashmiris to remain determined towards the freedom movement and thwart the anti-freedom movement policies and strategies of India and its armed forces. Waza also appealed south Asian intelligentsia to open their eyes and take a strong note of the grave human rights violations taking place in Kashmir. Waza said that the intelligentsia must also raise their voice against the Indian military oppression and must play role for bringing an end to it.

Ignoring Peaceful means for resolving K-Conflict can trigger nuclear disaster in South Asia

Continuing its Party’s mass contact program, Senior APHC leader and Jammu Kashmir Peoples League Chairman Mukhtar Ahmad Waza along senior leaders including Ghulam Qadir Rah, Imtiyaz Ahmad Reshi, Shakeel-ul-Rehman, Ghulam Ahmad Mir, Jaffer Kashmiri visited Fathegund Shree Baramullah to pay tributes to Shaheed-e-Azeemat Sheikh Abdul Aziz and 72 martyrs who laid down their lives in 2008 during the mass agitation against the India’s illegal occupation and economic blockade.
During the visit, Mukhtar Ahmad Waza attended the special prayers session at Fathegund which was conveyed to pay rich tributes to Shaheed-e-Azeemat Sheikh Abdul Aziz. Prayers session was attended by dozens of party activists who pledged to take the ongoing freedom movement to its logical conclusion.
Addressing the prayers session, JKPL Chairman Mukhtar Ahmad Waza emphasized the need of strengthening the party at gross root levels by reaching out to oppressed Kashmiri people in every hook and corner of the Jammu and Kashmir. Mukhtar Ahmad Waza paid rich tributes to Shaheed-e-Azeemat Sheikh Abdul Aziz and other 72 martyrs including Tahir Nazir Lone, Manzoor Ahmad Akhoon, Mohd Amin and said that sacrifices of kashmiri martyrs have been endorsed by international community so the blood soaked freedom struggle will be taken to its logical conclusion despite odds.
“Irrespective of cast, creed, gender and age Kashmiri naïve and oppressed civilians have laid down their lives for the peaceful resolution of Kashmir conflict hence the martyr’s mission has to bear fruits despite the Indian army’s oppression and suppression.” Waza told gathering.
Slamming Narendra Modi led New Delhi government for calling off the sectary level talks with Pakistan; Waza said that India is working against the interests of world community by ignoring the peaceful means for resolving Kashmir conflict which can trigger nuclear disaster in the South Asian region as the dispute pertains between the three nuclear armed countries-India, Pakistan and China.
Waza said that Indian political class since from Pandit Jawahar Lal Nehru has used delayed tact’s to justify its illegal occupation, however the dispute is dully recognized by the international community besides supported by over dozens united Nation resolutions which guarantee ‘Right to Self Determination’ to the people of Jammu and Kashmir.
Slamming New Delhi Government for calling Kashmir dispute an internal matter, Waza said, “ Kashmiris are the owners of the Kashmir hence are the prime stake holders of the dispute therefore any resolution without the proper consultation of Kashmiri genuine leadership will not be acceptable to the people of Kashmir.”
He thanked Pakistan for the continuous support to the Kashmiris freedom struggle and hoped that it will continue despite facing the internal and external problems.

Waza detained, placed under house arrest, Spokesman condemns police action 
Srinagar, August 15, 2014
Senior APHC Leader and Jammu Kashmir Peoples League Chairman, Mukhtar Ahmad Waza was placed under house detention today who was detained by Islamabad police yesterday in the evening.
Party Spokesman, Imtiyaz Ahmad Reshi said that Waza Shab was arrested yesterday in the evening and was shifted to Police Station Sherbagh, however he was released from the police station and wasplaced under house detention as Waza shab felt ill.
Spokesman condemned police action and termed it unwarranted and unconstitutional. He said that by caging the whole valley which highest militarized zone in Whole South Asian region sent a clear message to world community that Kashmir is illegally occupied by Indian forces. He said that while India and its citizens were celebrating their freedom day, naïve Kashmiris were braving the oppression of Indian army. He said that besides caging the valley Kashmiris were cut off from the rest of the world as the puppet authorities jammed mobile phones and internet services.
Spokesman said that the claims of India’s being international champion of democracy falls flat here in Kashmir where the peaceful freedom movement of naïve Kashmiris is being suppressed by Indian military forces and the civilians aren't even being allowed to express their political whishes and aspirations. He said that by caging the valley through its military forces the so-called democracy of so-called world biggest democratic country stands exposed.
He urged international community to take a strong note of prevailing situation of Jammu and Kashmir help the naïve Kashmiris in securing birth right ‘right to self determination’.

Spokesman condemned Police action and said that on its independence day, Indian armed forces have again showed their real face by curbing the movement of people and pro-freedom leadership. he said that detention of pro-Freedom leaders and activists in Kashmir must turn eye opener for world community

India has no moral, legal right for conducting Independence Day function
in Kashmir: Waza
Srinagar, August 13, 2014
Slamming India its armed forces and puppet authorities for lashing a
reign of terror among the civilian population, Chairman Peoples League
Mukhtar Ahmad Waza Wednesday said that India has no moral and legal
right to celebrate their Independence Day in illegally occupied state
of Jammu and Kashmir.
In an issued statement, Mukhtar Ahmad Waza said that state was never
part of British colonized India but was gifted to Sardar Gulab Singh
for his faithfulness which he showed in Punjab, hence state Jammu and
Kashmir has not achieved the freedom which is under the illegal
occupation of India.
“We are fighting Indian illegal occupation of the state peacefully
through our ongoing freedom struggle. Our movement has been dually
recognized by the international community especially by United Nations
which has passed several resolutions for its peaceful resolution, so
India has no right to celebrate their independence Day functions
inside military camps.” Said Waza
Terming the celebration of Independence Day, illegal Waza said that
India was deceiving international community. “What India has not done
to deceive International community, elections are being held,
independence days are being celebrated just to show the world that
Kashmiris have accepted the Indian rule, however the observance of
these days as Black days by naïve Kashmiris have exposed the Indian
shameful polices.” He added.
Waza condemned the harassment of pedestrians on the name frisking by
the Indian armed forces and said that for celebrating their
Independence Day in illegally occupied Kashmir, Indian forces have
lashed a reign of terror.
He said that India has lost its moral right of celebrating the Day in
Kashmir too as its armed forces have perpetrated grave human rights
violations. Waza said that during the peaceful protests in 2008 Summer
against the economic blockade, Indian armed forces killed 72 innocent
civilians including Shaheed-e-Azimat Sheikh Abdul Aziz.
Demanding a swift probe into the killings and grave human rights
violations, Mukhtar Ahmad Waza urged International Crime Tribunal to
setup an independent tribunal in Kashmir for prosecuting the Indian
armed forces involved in heinous crimes and grave human rights
violations.
He also demanded unconditional release of detainees lashing in Indian
jails and urged Amnesty International to take a strong note of the
human rights violations.

Jammu and Kashmir people’s league today organized a special prayers session at Martyrs graveyard on the eve of sixth martyrdom anniversary of Shaheed-e-Azeemat Sheikh Abdul Aziz. Hundreds of Pro-Freedom activists and Leaders participated in the paryeres session and paid glowing tributes to Martyrs of Kashmir particularly to Martyred party Chairman, Shaheed-e-Azeemat Sheikh Abdul Aziz.
Senior Party Leaders including Mohd Ashraf Vaid, Imtiyaz Ahmad Reshi, Jaffer Kashmiri, Gulam Qadir Rah, Er Fayaz, Shakeel-ul-Rehman Tahoor Ahmad Sidiqi besides Senior APHC leaders and Pro-freedom leaders including Zaffer Akbar Bhat, Javid Ahmad Mir, Syed Salim Geelani, Syed Bashir Indrabi, Hakim Abdul Rashid along with hundreads of pro-freedom activists participated and paid rich tributes to martyred frontline pro-freedom leader.

Waza said that Shaheed-e-Azeemat Sheikh Abdul Aziz was a noble, pious soul who since 1968 actively played a role in the ongoing freedom struggle and on 11th of August in 2008 laid down his precious life for a noble cause while leading a sea of people on Srinagar-Muzafferabad road who were protesting against the economic blockade of Hindu fanatics as well as against the India’s illegal occupation.
He said that Shaheed-e-Azeemat Sheikh Abdul Aziz was a strong advocate of ‘right to self determination’ and during his life time he never succumbed before the oppressor. 
He said that Kashmiri nation must not forget this brave leader who along with his family actively played a key role in the ongoing freedom movement while as after the his martyrdom the family continues to support the mission of martyrs.
Waza said that martyred leader being visionary had ever since during his life time maintained that peace and stability will continue to remain elusive till Kashmir dispute gets resolved according to UN resolutions guaranteeing ‘right to self determination’ to the people of Jammu and Kashmir. Mukhtar Ahmad Waza on the occasion said that Jammu Kashmir Peoples League is credited of being mother of all Pro-Freedom organization hence all those rebel pro-freedom leaders who left the party must come back and strength the party as at this juncture Kashmiri nation needs a united pro-Freedom platform. Urging naïve kashmiris to participate enthusiastically in the programs chalked out by All Parties Hurriyat Conference (APHC) on the eve of sixth martyrdom anniversary of Shaheed-e-Azimat Sheikh Abdul Aziz, Mukhtar Ahmad Waza, Jammu and Kashmir Peoples League Chairman, on Friday said that martyred former chairman of the party was strong advocate of freedom of Kashmir for which he preferred martyrdom and never indulged in compromised politics neither bowed before the oppressor( India) and its cruel military forces.
Addressing a rally after Friday prayers in South Kashmir’s Kulgam district today, Mukhtar Ahmad Waza said Shaheed-e-Azimat Sheikh Abdul Aziz was most honest and brave leader of naïve Kashmiris who preferred martyrdom on a read while leading the oppressed kashmiris who were demonstrating peaceful against the occupation of India and its undemocratic economic blockade.

SENIOR Aphc leader and chairman jklf Javaid Ahmad Mir, JKPL LEADERS IMTIYAZ Reshi, Jaffer Kashmiri today addressed a huge gathering at Jinab Shab soura after Friday prayers speaking to people leaders paid a glowing tributes to Martyrs 2008 Martyrs Including Shaheedi Azimat Sheikh Abdul Aziz and 74 others who were martyred in 2008 agitation Leaders said Kashmiri freedom fighters has given their hot blood for the basic right of freedom and it is our misfortune main stream parties political interest they are trying to engage with people under different conspiracies like self rule autonomy and religion and trying to gain vote banks but people of Kashmir are well aware with these conspiracies Speaking to those persons who are engaged with main stream parties they are tightening the rope of slavery around the neck of their future generations .

As already the land of Kashmir is marked with blood sheds and walls are colored with blood of youths and hundreds of localities in Kashmir are converted in martyred grave yards Thousands in numbers Kashmiri youths were disappeared the prestigious honor of our sisters and mothers are disgraced by forces and Indian Mainstream politicians ,The whole responsibilities of these incidents are upon Indian government and present collation in Kashmir for their basic political interests they had converted whole Kashmir into a big prison like situation.Mir and Reshi said Shaheedi Azimat Sheikh Abdul Aziz and lakhs of kashmiri martyrs sacrifices their life for a noble cause and not for self rule , autonomy and Hindu state , History is witness from seven decades Bjp Congress and other mainstream parties has always used delaying tactics for the peaceful resolution of Kashmir Mir said it is Indian government and main stream parties are responsible for the present turmoil in Kashmir. Indian government has always shown double standards in view to solve long standing Kashmir dispute from 1947 kashmiri people has given countless sacrifices but in presence in lakhs of forces in Kashmir Indian government has tried to divide people of Kashmir in many corners.On this occasion people raise freedom anti Indian slogans.
