Waza condemns desecration Quran in Chenab valley
Srinagar, Oct 31: Jammu and Kashmir Peoples League today strongly condemned the desecration of the Holy Quran in Chenab valley by some miscreants and cautioned people to remain vigilant against communal violence.
In a statement issued, Party Chairman, Mukhtar Ahmad Waza today while expressing deep anguish and concern over the violence against minority Muslim community in Zanaskar and the desecration of the Holy Quran by some miscreants in Chenab Valley said that the some elements are trying to create communal tension in the valley that can’t be tolerated at all.
He said that local administration should effectively act in this regard and tension creators should be dealt accordingly in the both regions of the Jammu and Kashmir because in both areas Muslims are in minority and to protect them should be administration’s first priority.
He said that policies against Islam are being hatched continuously on international, national and now in our own state with an aim to prov
ocate Muslim Ummah, but these forces had utterly failed to promote apostasy on mass-level in the Muslim Community.
Waza appealed general public of Zanskar and Chenab valley to ensure and maintain peace and communal harmony in both areas and also appealed Buddhists and Hinduism followers to ensure the safety of minority on humanitarian grounds   spokes man pl imtiyaz reshi,

A high level delegation of APHC and Jammu Kashmir Peoples League visited residence of  senior pl leader Palley khan   at Pampore who  paid a glowing tribute to the the   departed soul.    APHC in a condolence meeting offered fateha for the departed soul and expressed solidarity with the bereaved families.    And extends heartfelt sympathies with the bereaved family and   prays let the departed soul rest in peace and the next of kith and kin have the patience and fortitude to bear the irreparable loss of the member of the family. While addressing in a condolence meeting at Model Town  PAMPORE Senior  aphc leader Ab Rashid Hakeem    speaking to the columns    expressed profound grief and sorrow over the sad demise of  Late  senior pl leader Palley khan   and prayed Allah Almighty to rest him in eternal peace.   Mean while senior pl leader imtiyaz reshi  reiterating that the ongoing liberation movement will be taken to its logical conclusion and maintained that the Kashmir dispute can be resolved by implementing the relevant UN resolutions.  Reshi said that the people of Kashmiri had been rendering matchless sacrifices for securing their right to self-determination. He pointed out that it was the responsibility of India to honour the commitments made by its leaders before the UN to settle the dispute in accordance with the Kashmiris aspirations. The senior Hurriyat leader stated that for ensuring permanent peace in South Asia, settlement of the dispute over Kashmir was imperative, which had been cause of three wars between two nuclear neighbours, Pakistan and India. Rejecting the self-rule and autonomy proposals by pro-India parties,  Reshi urged them to join Hurriyat camp if they were sincere to find out a solution to the Kashmir dispute.  According to the spokesman peoples league imtiyaz reshi said , 

 Senior Hurriyat Leader and
  Chairman of Jammu Kashmir Peoples League, Mukhtar Ahmad Waza addresses Eid-ul-Azha congregation at Kadipora Islamabad Jamia Masjid. While addressing the congregation Waza felicitates Muslim brethren on the eve of Eid-ul-Fitr and urged people of Kashmir to observe this carnival with extreme austerity. Waza has urged people to pray for the elevation-status of Kashmiri martyrs.
Mukhtar Waza maintained that unfortunately, the people of
 Jammu and Kashmir were still kept deprived of right to self-determination and the promises made with them at international level were not fulfilled.  . “The  authorities can not suppress the Kashmiris’ liberation struggle through use of brute force,” he added. Waza said that the acts of Indian state terrorism perpetrated against innocent Kashmiris were aimed at silencing their just voice for right to self-determination, but the people of Jammu and Kashmir will continue their struggle for securing right to self-determination till its logical end.
Mukhtar Waza also urged the pro-freedom leaders to forge greater unity among their ranks to take the ongoing movement to its logical end.
He appealed the world community to put pressure onIndia to implement the UN resolutions on Kashmir so that the dispute could amicably be resolved. He said that Pakistan had been taking sincere and serious steps for the settlement of the conflict, however, he deplored that the rigid stance of New Delhi towards the dispute was the main hurdle in its peaceful solution.


In district Srinagar, senior peoples League leader Imtiyaz Ahmad Reshi  along with   and Gulzar Ah kadju Ajaz  Wani while addresses the Eid worshippers at   soura boys higher secondary ground paid homage to the Kashmiri martyrs and said that their sacrifices would not be allowed to go waste. Reshi  has urged people to pray for the elevation-status  ofPakistan and we should not forget the sacrifices ofPakistan from the beginning of 1947 for kashir cause.Reshi thanking Pakistan for the moral, political, forieng and diplomatic support for the Kashmiri moment.  we are grateful to the people and the ruling class of Pakistan who since 1947 have been showing their compassion for the oppressed people of Kashmir. Reshi Said ifPakistan is saying kashmir a jagular vein their should be no doubt.  Reshi reiterated the pledge to offer all kind of sacrifices for taking the liberation movement to its logical conclusion. They, while strongly condemning the stepped up human rights violations and illegal detention of Kashmiri leaders and activists, appealed the international human rights organisations to take notice of state terrorism unleashed by to suppress Kashmiris struggle for right to self-determination. Stressing the need for resolution of theKashmir dispute through meaningful dialogue, the speakers said that the fundamental party of the dispute, the true leadership of Kashmiri people should also be included in the talks. Peoples League paid a glowing tribute on 19th Martyrdom Anniversary of two brothers shaheed Nazir Ahmad Dar and Hillal Ahmad Dar of Soura Awantabhawan, Mukhtar Ah Waza.





Senior hurriyet leader and  chairman of peoples league has paid glowing tributes to  two brothers of soura Awantabhawan namely Nazir Ahmad Dar and Hillal Ahmad Dar they were  arrested by the Indian  bsf 86 batailion and killed in custody on  October  24 1993 they were the basic members of peoples league A thread bare discussion was made    Peoples League chaired by Mukhtar Waza, and attented by senior pl leaders  Waza said that the sacrifices of Kashmiri martyrs would not be allowed to go waste and their mission would be taken to its logical conclusion. While speaking in the colloquium senior Hurriyat Leader and  Chairman Jammu Kashmir Peoples League, Mukhtar Ahmad Waza said that Kashmiri martyrs centre-stagedKashmir dispute at the international level. He reiterated the pledge to continue the liberation struggle, despite all odds.
  "Kashmir is the core issue between the two nuclear powers of the region. If the issue is not included in the agenda and there is no positive headway for its resolution, the talks are bound to fail," Waza alleged.
 “Right from 1947,India has been trying to suppress the voice of Kashmiris by force. But neither they succeeded in the past, nor they would in future,” he added. Waza warned that New Delhi was pushing Kashmiris towards violent revolution. “Off late instead of making the atmosphere conducive for talks, troops have let loose a reign of terror across the State. If immediate measures are not taken by the government of india, we can see resurgence of violence in Kashmir. It will be more violent and aggressive than we have seen in the past,” he said. Reiterating his demand for demilitarization, Waza said, “Immediate and complete cessation of military and Para-military actions against the civilian population in Jammu Kashmir, withdrawal of military presence from the towns and villages, dismantling of bunkers, watchtowers and barricades, release of political prisoners and annulment of draconian laws are must for the protection of life and property of people.”Meanwhile A delegation of Peoples League visited the House of Shaheed Nazir Ah Dar and Hillal AH Dar, for paying tribute and fathe khawani by the advice of pl  Chairman Mukhtar Ahmad Waza, delegation includes Imtiyaz Reshi, AjAZ Ahmad Wani,Affaq Ahmad Bhat Nazir Ahmad Munshi AND Gh Jeelani.

Waza pays rich tributes to Bijbehara martyrs spokes man peoples league imtiyaz reshi


SRINAGAR, October 20:According to spokesman pl imtiyaz reshi Executive member of Hurriyat Conference (M) and Chairman of Jammu Kashmir Peoples league has paid glowing tributes to the martyrs who fell to the bullet of Indian Border Security Force (BSF) personnel in Bijbehara on October 22, 1993.
While visiting Mazari-e- Shudha Bijberaha , Waza paid glowing tributes to the martyrs who fell to the bullet of Indian Border Security Force (BSF) personnel in Bijbehara on October 22, 1993.
 He said that Kashmiri martyrs sacrificed their lives for a sacred cause and the sacrifices would not be allowed to go waste. They deplored that no action had been taken, so far, against the killers of the innocent people despite passing of 19 years, proving that Indian and Indian agencies are involved in bloodshed that occurred in valley from last 65 years.
“The sacrifices of 1993 and even after that are assets for the movement and can never go waste. Who sacrificed their lives will serve as beacon light for the rest of us.” Waza said adding that Kashmir martyrs have center staged the Kashmir issue and because of the martyrs world on humanitarian grounds wants to resolve the issue.
He said that the ongoing movement would be taken to its logical conclusion and appealed the international community, United Nations and world human rights watch groups to take a serious note of the human rights violations done by the security forces in the valley and to help resolve the Kashmir dispute in accordance with Kashmiris’ aspirations and relevant United Nations resolutions.
 He said that more than 51 people were martyred, hundreds of got injured by the BSF troopers in Bijehara on October 22, 1993,  when the people of the area held a peaceful demonstration against the siege of Hazratbal shrine by Indian Army .
Mukhtar Waza, thanked Government of Pakistan inviting him to visit Pakistan on 17th of December.  He hailed the role of Pakistan for providing, Political, moral and diplomatic support to Kashmir cause.

Kashmiris being deprived of fundamental rights: JKPL
Srinagar, Oct 19:
Senior leader of APHC (M) and Jammu and Kashmir Peoples League, Mukhtar Ahmad Waza, has said that the people of Kashmir have been deprived of their birthright to self-determination for the last several decades.
Mukhtar Waza, while addressing Friday Prayers at Jamia Masjid, Aishmuqam, said that the right to self-determination was a fundamental principle of human rights law and its universal acceptance had made it a cornerstone right of the United Nations system.
He said that the United Nations Security Council had passed various resolutions on Kashmir that called for a free and impartial plebiscite under the UN auspices to allow Kashmiris to determine their future by themselves but they were being deprived of this fundamental right from last 64 years, during which lakhs of Innocent Kashmiri people laid these precious lives, thousands were torchered in intragration centers, Kashmiri young girls were reaped resulting greave human rights violations in the valley and very recently thousands of unmarked graves were found in the valley that itself are evidences of the human rights violations done by the Indian troops and other agencies of Indian Government.
 He said that the people of Kashmir still wait for the implementation of UN resolutions on Kashmir. He said it is high time for the international community particularly the Human Rights Council to play due role to expedite the early and peaceful resolutions of the dispute.
He said apart from the basic right, right to self determination , Government of India is looting natural recourses of valley and people of Jammu and Kashmir are facing acute shortage of electricity and other things.
He said that NHPC is behaving like East India Company in the valley as they valley’s Natural recourses, water can generate more than 25000 MWA of electricity that we can sell and also can feed the state free of cost but due to Sindh-Tahas water treaty Kashmiris are also not to allow use this basic right and hence Kashmir remains as it was before 65 years in every aspect.
He said that government of Indian under a well planned strategy, aggression in every field like education, economy, and culture and Kashmiris are distanced from their own culture and education.
He appealed Indian and Pakistan to kick off a result dialogue process and include Kashmiri people in the process for the amicable settlement of Kashmir Issue. 
Meanwhile according to the spokesman of peoples league imtiyaz reshi Pakistan high commissioner for India Mr Salman Basheer has invited Mukhtar Ahmad Waza for Pakistan tour in the end of December 17to21 where important discussion on Kashmir will be discussed.

Waza welcome Britain decision, reminds United Nation, Kashmir issue
“Ill treatment to political prisoners,  violation of international laws”

 According to the spokes person of peoples league imtiyaz reshi Executive member of All Parties Hurriyat Conference (M) Jammu and Kashmir Peoples League Chairman, Mukhtar Ahmad Waza today while welcoming the decision of Britain in which they have decided to held referendum in Scotland, remained United Nations Kashmir dispute, a nuclear flash point in South Asia, appealed them to apply their resolution on Kashmir and settle the 64 years old issue, for which Kashmir innocent people have laid their lives.
Mukthar Waza, while addressing Party meeting that was attended by its leaders and workers Srinagar said, “Britain decision of holding referendum in Scotland is positive change on international level and its world community is paying keen interest in resolving disputes that can endanger the peaceful atmosphere of the globe.” Adding that on humanitarian grounds, world community should play its role in Kashmir dispute.
He said, “International community has accepted the gravity and importance of Kashmir Issue and they Know that peace will not prevail in South Asian region till Kashmir gets resolved peacefully.” Adding that world community especially United Nations should come out and apply its resolutions on Kashmir that they have passed from time to time, on which Kashmiri innocent people are fighting their political war and for which they laid their hot blood.
He also appealed the India Political heads to leave their rigidity on Kashmir issue and held a plebiscite in Kashmir that allows Kashmiris to decide their future.
Mukhtar Waza expressed serious concern over the ill-treatment meted out to jail detainees in Udamphur Jail and said, “Ill-Treatment to political prisoners is the blatant violation of international laws as jails are for the safeguard of prisoners.”  Adding that world community especially human rights watch should take steps in this regard and also appealed Amnesty International to pressurize Indian Govremnet for the early release of Political prisoners lashing in different jails so that they can celebrate Eid with their families.

Waza demands political solution of Kashmir dispute spokesman pl imtiyaz reshi




Srinagar, October  15: All Parties Hurriyet Conference leader and the Chairman of Jammu and Kashmir Peoples League (JKPL), Mukhtar Ahmad Waza has demanded total withdrawal of Indian troops, repeal of draconian laws and immediate release of all illegally detained Kashmiri Hurriyet leaders and activists. Mukhtar Ahmad Waza, addressing Juma congregation at Dooru Shahabad in Islamabad town, said that Kashmir was a political dispute and should be resolved politically through meaningful tripartite talks.

He stressed inclusion of true leadership of the Kashmiri people in the dialogue process between Pakistan and India, as without their involvement talks might not succeed. He said that Kashmir was an important dispute that had created uncertainty in the entire South Asian region because it was between the two nuclear powers of South Asia.

He maintained that India wanted to perpetuate its occupation of Kashmir by putting Kashmiri youth behind the bars and killing people randomly. He pointed out that gross human rights violations would continue till the presence of Indian troops in the valley.

Reshi urges UN to implement its resolutions on Kashmir



Srinagar, October 15:  APHC leader and the  spokesman of Jammu and Kashmir Peoples League,  Imtiyaz Ahmad  Reshi has said that Kashmir is an internationally recognised dispute, which needs to be resolved as per relevant resolutions of the United Nations.
 Reshi  addressing a party function in Srinagar   said that India had occupied the territory in violation of the international law and against this forcible occupation the United Nations had passed its first resolution on 13th August in 1948. The resolution advocates settlement of the dispute, he added.
The APHC leader appealed to the UN to implement its resolutions on Kashmir and take cognisance of human rights violations by Indian troops and police personnel in the territory. He said that the Indian forces had, so far, killed thousands of innocent people in fake encounters in occupied Kashmir.
 Imtiyaz Reshi and other participants of the meeting reiterated that the unparalleled sacrifices offered by the Kashmiri people for the Kashmir cause would not be allowed to go waste and the ongoing liberation movement would be taken to its logical end.
