Waza condemns killing of two civilians in Sumbal, demands probe
through international crime tribunal
Srinagar, June 30: Terming the killing of two civilians in Sumbal
Bandipora as barbaric and cowardly act on part of Indian security
forces, Jammu and Kashmir people’s league Chairman Mukhtar Ahmad Waza
has demanded a probe into the incident through international crime
tribunal.
In a statement issued here today, Mukhtar Waza paid glowing tributes
to Irfan Ahmad and Irshad Ahmad who were during the intervening night
killed by Indian army when they were returning from a marriage
ceremony and said that killing innocent people under the grab of black
laws like Armed Force Special Powers Act. (AFSPA) and others are worst
kind of human rights violations that continue from last 1947.
“These unprovoked incidents are brazen violations of human rights and
exposes the claims of Indian army as well as their cruelty,” he said,
adding such incidents are new to us.
He urged international community to held the probe of killings from
1947 to till this date who have been killed in fake encounters,
torcher centres and indiscriminate firing through international crime
tribunal  as the people in Kashmir are facing the situation from past
over 65 years.
While expressing solidarity with the bereaved families, he said that
incident is not new to us as the kashmiri people laid their lives from
past over decades for a mission called Kashmir freedom movement. He
said that blood of these innocent peoples will not be allowed to go
waste and the mission will be taken to its logical conclusion.
Jammu Kashmir People’s league as a constituent of Hurriyat Conference
(M) has also extended support of strike call given by APHC Chairman
Molvi Mirvaiz Ahmad Farooq.
Meanwhile a delegation of party led by Imtiyaz Ahmad Reshi was stopped
on way to  sumbal and was forced to return back.
