JKPL paid glowing tributes to Nawakdal martyr, Mukhtar Ahmad Waza again put under house arrest

Srinagar, May 1: Jammu and Kashmir People’s League today while paying tributes to Nawakadal martyr who was martyred Indian troops on Wednesday evening, condemned continuous house detention of Party Chairman Mukhtar Ahmad Waza and said that oppressive tact’s can’t help India to sabotage the ongoing freedom struggle.

Party expressed solidarity with the family of Bashir Ahmad who was martyred by troops yesterday in the evening at Nawakadal and said that troops were killing the people of state with impunity. Quoting Party Chairman, Mukhtar Ahmad Waza who continues to reel under house detention said that oppression, killings, and through undemocratic uncivilized tact’s Indian can’t muzzle the freedom movement. He also prayed for the early recovery of the injured civilians.

Party said that after this cool blooded murder, India has changed the whole valley Kashmir valley into military base camp and with the imposition of curfew in Srinagar parts troops not allowed citizens to visit the family martyr and express solidarity which is purely a religious activity.

Meanwhile party Spokesman, Imtiyaz Ahmad Reshi condemned the continuous house detention of party Chairman Mukhtar Ahmad Waza was today again put house arrest. He said that a heavy contingent of police raided the house of Mukhtar Shab at Kadipora in Islamabad district this morning and put him under house arrest.

Spokesman condemned the cold blooded murder of Nawakadal Youth and termed it worst kind of military oppression. He paid tributes to the martyred youth and expressed solidarity with the family.

He also thanked residents of Srinagar for rejecting the Indian sham polls.
