Senior APHC leader and Jammu Kashmir people’s league chairman, Mukhtar Ahmad Waza today visited flood areas of Kulgam district which include Kelam, Gund, Chamgund and expressed sympathy with the flood affectees.
During the visit flood affectees told Mukhtar Ahmad Waza that so far as puppet government has failed in rehabilitating them. They said that government left them at mercy of Almighty during the testing time. Flood affected families told that need shelter before the onset of winter but the puppet authorities weren’t paying any heed to their problems.
On the occasion Waza assured possible help to the flood affected families. He said that Hurriyat Conference has requested OIC and other international community to help the affected families as soon as possible. Mukhtar Ahmad Waza told flood affected families that India is blocking the international aid.
He termed it inhuman and said that for rebuilding this conflict ridden state people of Kashmir have many expectations from the international community especially from United Nations and Islamic countries.
He appealed Indian government to not to block aid coming from international community. “Indian government must not block the aid coming from international community. They must show realism in dealing with this issue as it a fact that they can’t help people here. Keeping in view the poverty of Indian, people of Kashmir will continue to appeal international community as there no other way.” Waza maintained.
Waza also appealed flood affected families to remain committed towards the freedom movement during this crucial juncture.
