Waza condemns human rights violations in Kashmir, demands mortal
remains of Bhat, Guru

Srinagar, March 29: Senior leader of All Parties Hurriyat Conference
(M) and Chairman Jammu and Kashmir people’s league Chairman, Mukhtar
Ahmad Waza today while demanding mortal remains of Shaheed Mohd
Maqbool Bhat and Mohd Afzal Guru, castigated Indian authorities for
commenting grave human rights violations in the valley.
Addressing Friday congregations at Jamia Masjid Bijbehara, Waza said
that Indian so-called secular and democratic country got exposed
before the international community and especially humanity after they
refused to send the mortal remains of Shaheed Mohd Afzal Guru back to
his family, whose  family is still waiting for them.
“Execution of innocent Shaheed Mohd Afzal Guru again brought the
Kashmir issue in lime light and this time the cruel face of india
again got exposed as they till time didn’t send back the mortal
remains of the martyr to his family for which whole Kashmir nation is
protesting and demanding and the country that claims to be a world’s
biggest democracy remains exposed after they thrown their own laws to
winds,” Waza said, adding according to Indian laws after execution
they were bound to return mortal remains of the martyrs but they
downplayed the aspirations of his family on the name of law and order
with the puppet state government who have always helped Indian
authorities for curbing the voice of innocent kashmiris for securing
right to self determination.
Waza demanded that the mortal remains of martyrs should be handed over
to their families without any further delay and appealed people to
continue supporting family’s demand peacefully. he said that the
brutal killings, custodial killings, enforced disappearances by the
Indian authorities and security agencies will not help them to prolong
its illegal occupation on the land of the nation, however he said that
for securing ‘right to self determination’   for which people are
laying their lives since decades, have to get united on the respective
ranks. He said that JKPL being a consistent of APHC have ever since
raised the issue of unity among the ranks of leadership as well as
among the different social/ civil groups.
“unity among the hurriyat leadership is important that cannot be ruled
out but the fact is that we kashmiris on the whole should be united as
doctors, advocates, businessmen, teachers and other professional and
non professional people while doing their jobs should also kept
sentiment of freedom live as they have in civilized society and they
should bother about the issue which pertains to every individual of
this nation and every remained affected by the cruelty of Indian
authorities.” He said
He said that the international community’s silence over the burning
issue of south Asia can’t prove fruitful for the whole world as the
nuclear countries are involved in the issue. He appealed them to come
forward for the peaceful resolution of Kashmir issue that has left
people in both nuclear counters underprivileged as the countries are
spending huge budgets on defence and hence wasting the money that
could used for the betterment of people, while as the people of
Kashmir are being killed by the occupier brutally that goes unnoticed
by the international community. He also appealed international
community to help for tracing the enforced disappeared persons by the
Indian security agencies and in probing the persons killed in custody
and in fake encounters.
