JKPL calls for shutdown in Baramullah on Friday

September 12: Jammu and Kashmir people’s league Chairman Mukhtar Ahmad
Waza has urged the people of Baramullah to observe a complete shutdown
on Friday aganist the killing of party leader Abdul Rashid Gazi.

According to spokesman Imtiyaz Ahmad Reshi, Chairman Mukhtar Ahmad
Waza has appealed people including traders, transporters and
shopkeepers to observe complete strike against the killing tomorrow
on Friday against the brutal and barbaric killing of party leader,
Abdul Rashid Gazi

He refuted the claims of police that party leader died in a hit and
run accident and said that the torchered marks were visible on martyrs
body, hence the killing of pro-freedom leader needs fair judicial
probe.

Srinagar, September 12:

Jammu and Kashmir people’s league Chairman Mukhtar Ahmad Waza today
expressed shock over the killing of party leader Abdul Rashid Gazi
alias Gazi Baba in North Kashmir’s Baramullah district. Party chairman
termed it barbaric and said that he was killed under a conspiracy
aimed to sabotage the freedom voice in Kashmir.

Paying glowing tributes to the leader who achieved martyrdom today,
Waza said that India is hell bent upon to suppress the freedom voice
by killing people and pro-freedom Hurriyat leadership. He said that
under the well planned conspiracy Sheikh Abdul Aziz was martyred and
now they killed Abdul Rashid Gazi shab.

Waza said that Gazi Shab was well known leader and pro-freedom voice
of Jammu and Kashmir and JKPL. He since his younger age continued to
raise the voice against India’s oppression and due which he was
martyred today. Waza said that Gazi Shab was 65 years old and was
central council member of the party and during his political career
his was imprisoned many a times. He said that Gazi Shab scarified his
life for the ongoing movement and hence his role can’t be
underestimated.

Waza said that the leader was in Islamabad yesterday to bereave me and
at 5: pm he along with other Hurriyat delegation left the town. He
demanded a high level judicial probe into the killing of leader as the
torcher marks were visible on his body.

Meanwhile Jammu and Kashmir people’s league expressed shock over the
killing of party leader and expressed solidarity with the family.
Party leaders and activists including Imtiyaz Ahmad Reshi,
Shakeel-ul-Rehman, Abdul Majeed Wani, Mohmmad Musadiq Aadil, Bashir
Ahmad Indrabi participated Nimaz-e-Jinaz, besides thousands of people.
They paid glowing tributes to the leader and demanded judicial probe
into the killing of party leader.
