waza condemns highhandedness of troops in Mattan spokesperson jkpl imtiyaz reshi.

SRINAGAR, July 11: Jammu and Kashmir People’s League Chairman Mukhtar Ahmad Waza today visited Akura Mattan were yesterday Indian troops ruthlessly beat up locals including a driver. He condemned the highhandedness of troops and said that such type of right violations by the Indian security forces needs to be notice immediately as the forces have lashed a region of terror among the people which affects the day to day life of common masses.

Mukhtar Ahmad Waza, who visited families whose family members were yesterday beaten by troops without any justification and expressed sympathy with them. He also visited the family of driver who has been shifted to SKIMS in a critical position.

Terming the incident as grave violation of human rights, waza said that it is unfortunate with kashmri people that they have to prove there identify in its own state for which they have given unparallel scarifies. He said that Kashmiri people are living insecure life from past six decades and troops under the grab of draconian laws are killing people that goes unnoticed.

He also expressed concern over the double standards of international community with regard to Kashmir issue and said, “International community is also maintaining double standards over the issue by not pressurising Indian authorities to stop the atrocities done by the troops as well as for resolving Kashmir issue.”

He said that UNO should positively intervene for the resolution of Kashmir issue so that peace in south Asian region prevails.
