Waza greets people on Eid-e-Milad, castigated government for interfering in religious matters






SRINAGAR, JANURAY 24:  Senior Hurriyat leader and Jammu and Kashmir
people’s league, Mukhtar Ahmad Waza today castigated state government
for interfering in religious matters and depriving religious rights of
people by creating hurdles in the way.
People’s league Chairman, in a press statement issued here in
Srinagar, greeted Muslim fraternity especially Jammu and Kashmir
people on the eve of Eid-e-Miladun Nabi (SAW) and appealed to follow
the path provided for us by our Prophet Mohammad (SAW. He said that
Eid-e-Milad marks that day of justice, truth that got flourished after
the arrival of Prophet Mohammad (SAW). He said that Islam is a
religion of peace and principles in which denying of rights or doing
injustice, cruelty has no space at all. He said, “we are Mazloom so we
have follow the path provided to us by our beloved holy Prohpet
Mohmmad (SAW) and trust me all the issue gets resolved easily.” Waza
said.
He castigated got state government authorities for interfering in
religious matters and depriving religious rights of innocent kashmiri
people. “Unfortunately, Government has now started to interfere in
religious matter of Kashmiri what government has to do with a masjid,
Masjid or shrine isn’t government’s property, people in power should
keep this thing in mind and yes these interferences could definitely
damage the situations and people will resist the move.” Waza said,
adding that Islamic clerics are also being harassed while as
pro-freedom leaders and activits aren’t being allowed to carry out
religious programs.
He said castigated district authorities of Islamabad for not allowing
religious scholor Dr sammer to carry out a religious gathering on the
eve of Eid-e-milad and said that administrations move has disturbed
and hearted the religious feeling of Muslim community in the area.
