Police arrested People’s League Chairman Mukhtar Ahmad Waza
Imtiyaz reshi protests at awanta bhawan during election.
Srinagar, April 30, 2014: Islamabad Police today again arrested Jammu Kashmir People’s League Chairman Mukhtar Ahmad Waza when he was leading a protest demonstration in the town against the arrest spree and police.
Mukhtar Ahmad Waza shab this morning along with dozens of party activists held a protest demonstration in Kadipora Islamabad area. They raised high-pitched slogans against the arrest spree and police atrocities. Mukhtar Waza on the occasion said that Indian is trying to muzzle the ongoing freedom movement through its ten lakh troops which have been deployed in length and breadth of Kashmir valley-making Kashmir highest military zone in the South Asian region.
Terming the ongoing elections, India’s policy of misleading and deceiving world community at international level, Waza said that if India will allow freedom lovers to move freely they will get big ‘Zero’ from Jammu and Kashmir in terms of Voter turn-out, as the people of state have rejected these polls ever since and have never reposed the faith in Indian system.
“Hundreds of our young people including pro-freedom leader have been put in jails, Indian troops have dominated every single lane and road of the valley, and troops have lashed a reign of terror and if they call this military operation election then it is shame for the country claiming world’s biggest democratic country.” He said.
However, police foiled the protesters and arrested Mukhtar Ahmad Waza. He was shifted to Police station Sherbagh. Party Spokesman condemned police action and said that India was using its brutal tact’s to sabotage the ongoing freedom but till time couldn’t succeed.
