And then, look his sacrifice led to a mass uprising the rhythm of whose noise attracted global attention. He was really supreme.
Sheikh Abdul Aziz achieved martyrdom on 11th August 2008 at Chayal Boniyar Uri, Baramulla while heading a peaceful protest march to smash away LOC (Bloody line) during on to Muzaffarabad (Muzaffarabad Challo) in view of the economic blockade enforced on Kashmiris by Hindu fanatics of Jammu..
For his resolute to Kashmir’s peaceful resolution was enchained but India failed to exterminate his freedom sentiment: thus nicknamed “Jail Bird”.Jail periods:
· 1973 under NSA.
· Put under PSA in 1984 to 1986.
· 21st May 1993 – 27th Sep. 2000,
· IST Aug. 2001 – 26th Feb. 2004,
· 5 Feb. 2005 – 17 Nov. 2007.
