Waza appeals Ban-Ki-Moon to pressurize India for Kashmir settlement

SRINAGAR, AUGUST 14:

Jammu and Kashmir people’s league chairman, Mukhtar Ahmad Waza today appealed UNO General Sectary Ban-Ki-Moon who is on Pakistan visit now-a-days to pressurize India for Kashmir settlement according to aspirations of people of Kashmir.

Waza in a statement while reminding Kashmir issue to Ban-Ki-Moon said that that UNO is world’s top organization; however it had maintained dual standards over the Kashmir issue that is its top issue among others. He said, “Kashmir is world’s top and burning issue it had put the peace and stability of whole south Asian region on stake but the UNO is not taking it seriously which can hamper the economic progress of the region as well as destroy the peace and stability of the region.”

Waza appealed Ban-ki- Moon to mount pressure on Indian for the early resolutions of Kashmir issue through the resolutions pending in UNO or through meaningful talks.

Meanwhile, Mukhtar Waza appealed people of Jammu and Kashmir to observe complete shutdown on the eve of India’s Independence Day and also observe it as black day because India right from 1947 when they illegally occupied state haven’t given the people their basic right ‘right to self determination’ he said that India has no legal or moral right to observe its independence Day in Jammu and Kashmir as it remains disputed till time. He said that India during muzzling freedom voice of the nation has got involved in serious and worst kind of human rights violations that needs international attention for fair probe.

He appealed UNO General Sectary to intervene in Kashmir dispute for its early resolution.
