Waza arrested, detained in Police station Sherbagh Islamabad
Shocked over the terrorism of VDC members, attack on Muslims in Kastiwar
SRINAGAR, AUGUST 09
Senior pro-freedom leader and Jammu and Kashmir people’s league chairman Mukhtar Ahmad Waza today early in the morning arrested from his residence in Kadipora Islamabad and was lodged in police station sherbagh Islamabad. He was not allowed to offer Eid prayers.
Party spokesman, Imtiyaz Ahmad Reshi has condemned the state police action and termed it to state terrorism perpetrated by the occupied authorities. He said that arresting and putting behind pro freedom leadership on the eve of Eid was jolted and exposed the real face of so called democracy and secularism all over the world respecting religious aspirations and humanity.  
Chairman, Mukhtar Ahmad Waza was scheduled to address a protest rally in dooru area on the eve of martyr’s day that was observed today.
Meanwhile Party Chairman, Mukhtar Ahmad Waza has expressed solidarity of Chenab valley’s Kistwar Muslims who were attacked today by Hindu extremists and village defence committee members, policemen, when they were offering eid prayers.
Terming it handy work of agencies as to divide people off religious lines, Waza said draconian laws like AFSPA, PSA and others were not only the evident facts of Indian cruelty and but unlimited policies, strategies, programs and institutions like village defence committees have been constituted and implemented in the state right from 1947 to muzzle the ongoing freedom struggle in which India totally failed and wasted its resources which could have been used by him in upgrading the lives people of economically and socially deprived, living in slums.
 Condemned the incident which took place in Kishtwar today, waza castigated Indian and its state authorities for giving a free hand to VDC members in the area who have created a reign of terror among Muslim majority population.
