Waza visited Shopain, addressed Friday congregations and condemned oppression of armed forces
SRINAGAR, AUGUST 23
Jammu and Kashmir People’s League Chairman Mukhtar Ahmad Waza along with senior leaders Mommad Musadiq Aaadil  Yasmeen Raja, Imtiyaz Ahmad reshi Farooq Mamoosi, and Abdul Majeed Wani and addressed Friday congregations. In Jamia Masjid Shopian Waza, while addressing the congregations condemned the oppression of Indian armed forces from past one week in the district during which number of innocent youths has been booked by security forces on false and baseless allegations?, and appealed international community to intervene.
Waza said that India and its armed forces were using every available oppressive and brutal tactics to repress the freedom voices and said that people of the state who laid their lives for the resolution of Kashmir issue will not deter to give sacrifices till the martyr’s mission gets logical conclusion.
He said that during past week, Indian armed forces descreted holy Quran thus hearted the religious feelings of kashmiri Muslims. “Since 27 October 1947 when Indian armed forces occupied Kashmir they continue to oppress Kashmiri freedom movement by killing people, putting them behind bars, raping and molesting our sisters but Kashmir’s three consecutive generations continued to raise their voices for securing birth right ‘right to self determination’ and fourth generations is fallowing the foot prints and is supporting the freedom movement laying their precious lives for the freedom of Kashmir.” He said.
He said that India must acknowledge this fact that besides their harsh oppression and other brutal tactics, Kashmir’s fourth generation with fertile brains is supporting peacefully the freedom movement that indicates that time is too far when Kashmir will get rid from the Indian bondage.
He condemned the recent arrest spare in the district and said, “Police and other security forces have lashed a reign of terror in the district and unfortunately over 40 youths have been booked on baseless allegations while as police continues raid the houses of other youths”
He said that it is itself an evident fact that when oppressor continues its oppression, it bursts and damages the oppressor itself.
Senior Pro-freedom leader Yasmeen Raja also addressed the gathering and castigated state authorities for terrifying innocent youths in the district.
Hurriyat leaders also appealed world powers and world human rights watch-dogs to take a strong note of the state terrorism lashed by Indian armed forces in the valley. They also appealed India and Pakistan for resolving Kashmir issue on humanitarian grounds, as with the passage of every single minute, Kashmiri’s continue to face the Indian oppression resulting grave human rights violations.
