Police arrested Mukhtar Waza after addressing a rally in Aishmuqam
paid tributes to martyrs, says their mission will be taken to its logical conclusion 

Srinagar, June 13, 2014
Police today arrested senior APHC leader and Jammu Kashmir people’s League Chairman, Mukhtar Ahmad Waza moments after he addressed a rally in Aishmuqam Islamabad and was shifted Police station Aishmuqam.
Party Spokesman Imtiyaz Ahmad Reshi condemned police action and termed it worst kind of state terrorism.
Earlier addressing a hunge gathering Waza paid glowing tributes to the martyrs of Kashmir and pledged to take their mission to its logical conclusion.
Accompanied by party senior leaders including, Nazir Ahmad Khan, Ghulam Qadir Rah, Imtiyaz Reshi, Ghulam Ahmad Mir, Eng Fayaz Ahmad, Jaffer Kashmiri and Fayaz Ahmad, Mukhtar Ahmad Waza while addressing a huge gathering after Friday prayers in Ashimuqam Islmabad said that people of Jammu and Kashmir have lain down their precious lives and hot blood for the peaceful resolution of Kashmir conflict and it’s the due responsibility of our to take their mission to its logical conclusion.
“Martyrs laid down their lives and center staged the Kashmir issue, so now it is our responsibility to carry forward the mission and fight peacefully till we achieve complete freedom from India.” He said.
The APHC leader urged India to eschew its stubbornness and take solid steps for settlement of the lingering dispute. “The satisfied bilateral relations and en end to skirmish on LOC can guaranteed only after final resolution of Kashmir.” he said, however maintained the resolution of the issue must lie in accordance with the aspirations and wishes of Kashmiri people.
He said that New Delhi had failed to suppress the voice of Kashmiris by force since 1947. He demanded withdrawal of Indian troops, release of political prisoners and annulment of draconian laws.
Waza said that people of Kashmir would not compromise on securing their birthright to self-determination and will fight till they achieve it.
He appealed Indo-Pak countries to settle the dispute so that people of Jammu and Kashmir can get rid from the oppression and suppression of Indian armed forces. “Lakhs of innocent have been killed, thousands have been enforced to disappear, thousands of unmarked graves have been discovered establishing the fact that Indian army has committed grave human rights violations, rape continues to be tool of oppression along with destroying properties of common kashmiris but how far it will continue? Don’t Kashmiris have right to live peacefully?” Waza questioned India
On the occasion, people raised pro-Islam and Pro-Freedom slogans.
