Srinagar, June 27, 2014
Senior APHC leader and Jammu Kashmir Peoples League Chairman, Mukhtar Ahmad Waza today after Friday prayers addressed a huge public gathering in Kimoh area of Kulgam district.
Hundreds of men especially youth participated in the public gathering and raised pro-Islam and Pro-Freedom slogans. Amid high pitched sloganeering, Mukhtar Ahmad Waza who was accompanied by several party leaders including Nazir Ahmad Khan, Imtiyaz Ahmad Reshi, Ghulam Qadir Rah, Jaffer Kashmiri,Er Fayaz Ahmad and others, paid rich tributes to the martyrs and pledged to take the ongoing freedom struggle to its logical conclusion.
Addressing the gathering, Waza castigated India and its military forces for lashing a reign of terror by killing innocent youths. He said that Indian military forces have gone frustrated as after the passage of over 97 years they failed in crushing the pro-freedom sentiments of people through oppressive and suppressive tact’s.
“since 1947 the day when Indian military forces occupied the state illegally, they killed us, tourchered, imprisoned, enforced to disappear kashmiri youths, used rape and molestation as a tool for crushing our pro-freedom movement but still people of Kashmir with hope and determination of fighting peacefully for securing their birth right ‘right to self determination.” He said.
He said, “More the Indian armed forces oppresses pro-freedom sentiments of Kashmiri people more it will rise and at the end India has to accept the defeat and leave the state but it was good enough if India resolves the dispute with Pakistan and Kashmiri pro-freedom leadership through a credible dialogue process peacefully.”
Kashmiri people have always encouraged peaceful atmospheres and have never supported the bloodshed, so India must shun the policy of oppression and suppression and must come forward for the early peaceful resolution of Kashmir conflict.
He said it is certain that due to climate cahnge India and Pakistan will face fresh confrontation over the issues interlinked with Kashmir conflict like Water but the outcome of this confrontation have enough potential to destroy the peace in whole south Asian region and can destabilize region as both the countries involved in conflict are nuclear armed.
Waza appealed Indo-Pak countries and world community to show seriousness in resolving the Kashmir dispute according to wishes and aspirations of Kashmiri people without any further delay for making the region a role model in terms of peace and prosperity...
