Coming heavily on pro-Indian parties, APHC Chairman stated that those people who claim to be democratic and want to take lead in paying tributes to July 13 martyrs were actually the main culprit who got Kashmir plunged into authoritarian rule after its ancestors successfully fought against the despotic monarchs. He said in 1947, India and Pakistan got independence, but independence of Kashmir was usurped.

However, he stated that instead of displaying political maturity, like past, the new dispensation too was treating Kashmir as an economic issue. He stated that truth was that Kashmiris never accepted the Indian suzerainty, adding, they have already rejected the financial and economic grant as a substitute to freedom.
