Waza addressed Friday Paryers in Islamabad, Paid glowing tributes to July 13 Martyrs
Condemns attacks on Gaza Strip, flays India’s order to closer of UN office

Senior APHC leader and Jammu Kashmir Peoples League Chairman, Mukhtar Ahmad Waza while addressing Friday congregations in Islamabad district of South Kashmir, paid glowing tributes to the martyrs of 13 July 1931, who voiced against the atrocities of the Dugra rule and laid down their lives.
“This day has the significance of marking the beginning of the ongoing freedom struggle. On this day the Kashmiris for the first time raised their voice against the atrocities perpetrated by the Dogra rulers on them and 22 persons offered supreme sacrifices of their life. The ongoing freedom movement is the continuous process of that struggle and it will continue till the peaceful resolution of Kashmir issue.” Mukhtar Ahmad Waza said while urging people to observe a complete shutdown on July 13 and make the APHC’s strike call a success.
He said that people of Jammu and Kashmir in general need to observe the day (July 13) as the day of reaffirmation of oath to take martyrs mission to its logical conclusion peacefully.
Mukhtar Ahmad Waza also condemned the Israel’s aggression and bombardment on the Gaza Strip which has so far claimed over hundred lives of innocent civilians including kids.
“It is this juncture world community especially the Muslim countries must get united and stand up for the people of Gaza who are being killed.” Waza said, adding they must also stand for the people of the Kashmir who are braving the oppression of India since from last two decades now.
Waza flayed Indian government’s decision of closing the UN office in New Delhi and termed it unrealistic.
He expressed concern over the decision of Indian government and said that Kashmir conflict is acclaimed by United Nations and world community. He said that such tact’s can’t change the disputed nature of Kashmir neither can change the ground realties.
He said that it was very unfortunate that India instead of showing courage to resolve the Kashmir issue, was indulging unrealistic tact’s.
He appealed International community; United Nations to help Kashmiri oppressed people in securing right to self determination.
Mukhtar Ahmad Waza was accompanied by Party Senior Ledaers including Nazir Ahmad Khan, Fayaz Ahmad and Shabir Ahmad.
