Waza lead anti Israel protest demonstration In Islamabad, condemns use
of brute force on peaceful protesters

Srinagar, July 18:
Senior APHC leader and Jammu Kashmir people’s league chairman Mukhtar
Ahmad Waza today after Friday prayers lead anti-Israel protest
demonstration in South Kashmir’s Islamabad district.
High pitched slogans were raised against Israel and India, besides pro
-Islam and pro-freedom slogans were reverberated in the peaceful
protest demonstration which started from Sherbagh Islamabad
On reaching at historical Lal Chowk Islamabad, a heavy contingent of
armed forces used force on peaceful protesters and chased protesters
by firing tear gas shells and stones. In Police action several
sustained Injuries.
Mukhtar Ahmad Waza on the occasion criticized armed forces for
restoring to violence and using of excessive forces on peaceful
protesters.
Waza condemned police action and termed it unwarranted. He said that
protest demonstration was peaceful but police fired teargas shells on
innocents due to which several received injuries which is itself a
grave human right violation by the troops.
Waza on the occasion expressed sympathy and solidarity with
Palestinians and urged international community to bring an end into
the innocent killings of children and women in Gaza. He said that
Kashmiris were too facing same kind oppression from India hence United
Nations must take bold steps and resolve the dispute according to
wishes and aspirations of Kashmiri people who have laid down uncounted
sacrifices.
He said that People of Jammu and Kashmir will never succumb before
Indian army’s oppression and suppression and will take the ongoing
movement to its logical conclusion.
Mukhtar Ahmad Waza was accompanied by Several party senior leaders
including Nazir Ahmad Khan, Fayaz Ahmad and Shabir Ahmad.
